I can't win for loosing...lol
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well the pain is in the mostly on the back of the shoulder blade running down the back of the arm. It really hurts to move my arm palms up side to side. I have been rotating ice and heat and resting it. It did not happen on an exercise. My arm on Wed night felt really fatigue after working out but just got worse as the days passed. I waited until Sat. to go to the doctor, went to ER since my doctor was not available. No xrays but was determined from the movement I was able to do it could possibbley be shoulder tendonitis and to follow up with my doctor next week. They said if it is not better within another 5days to make sure that I let my doctor know. So we will see. I dont think I tore anything my right shoulder well i hope I didn't. But I would think if I tore something it would have hurt immediately right?
Today will be cardio and abs

If you tore something it does not necessarily mean that it would be very painful right away. I actually work in a muscular-skeletal clinic, and many patients are misdiagnosed by the time they get to us. I am a little surprised the ER doc did not order an x-ray just to confirm the diagnosis. I assume an orthopedic doctor was not consulted./? I would definitely see if your doc you are following up with would order an x-ray just to be conservative. Keep doing what you are doing, ice and heat are both good. Just be real careful in the gym.....a shoulder injury is similar to the back we use it so much more than we realize....Take care...I'll keep checking in with ya Karrie

I would ask for a second opinion with your shoulder. I have just spent 6 months rehabbing what was initially diagnosed as tendinitis but turned out to be a sterno-clavicular seperation. Alot of doctors just call it tendinitis when they can't confirm a proper diagnosis. I am interested to know what kind of range of movement you have? can you bring the arm across your chest, straight up in front of you,out to the side etc...And what sort of strength tests did your doctor do exactly?? If the pain is in your arm to me that would indicate some kind of nerve impingement or entrapment..

actually my range of movement is fine except for moving my arm bent side to side in front of me. I can put it over my head, in a side lateral, behind me, and out in front of me without pain.

;D shoulder is feeling great. Been taking liquid glucosamine and that stuff works wonders. Still going to rest it till next week. Doing legs today....yeahhhh
Bad news though finished with my meds on the Monday for the neck thing. And now they are swelling again and feels like stinging pain. So called doctor and waiting for her to call me back. Damn it I am so pissed. Hubby is upset because he gets deployed on the 5th for 3months. He is worried about me but hey I will be okay I am too mean spirited to let anything get me down...lol

Glad to here the shoulder is feeling better!!!!!! I agree, continue, to rest it until next week, and then go back slowly!! Now, for the other, sometimes patients are not on their meds long enough or just simply require another round of meds. Do not be too discouraged until you here back from you doc! Hang in there !!!!! Tell hubby you'll be ok, we are all here for ya!!!!

Dr. called me another round of meds for the next 2 weeks. Said if nodes are not better at the end of 2 weeks or clear up and come back then we will start down another road. So skipping workout tonight, just not feeling well and I dont want to upset my neck anymore than I have to. Its getting like it was before I had any meds just in 24hours. I will keep you updated. I know this may sound silly but I am getting depressed about not making it to the gym again. but I know it wont do any good if I cant put my all in to it.

I know how you feel Lynn, but you have to try to think that this is for the best, because,in actuality it most likely is.
Hang tough, and stay strong, you`ll be back to 100% in no time flat!!

Lynn, You DO NOT sound silly at ALL!!! I completely understand about missing workouts...it can get you down....but rest is the best thing for you right now. If you do not feel good and your neck and shoulder is not up to par you could possibly further injury yourself, and then be out of the gym longer....that would STINK EVEN MORE!!!! Take one day at a time!!!!

Awww thanks.....
Boy what a weekend. Went whitewater rafting all adults and had a blast. Me and hubby soooo needed that before he got deployed next monday. I will be going back to that next year. So I got some good cardio in since it was a class 3 rafting trip and that is where you are your on guide into the rapids. First day we got turned over and only me was popped out going down the river hubby got boat off rock and rescued me....thank god he is in Coast Guard. Today it was funny we went over this big drop and when we came down guess who flew into the air missed the boat on way down and hit the water! Yes, me...lol hubby was laughing and saying "what are you doing Sheri get in the boat" I said laughing "I just wanted to swim down the river one more time NOT"....So as you can see we had a blast once get the pictures developed I will post them.
Take care and remember the real reason for Memorial Day. It is often over looked on why we have the holiday. Take a moment of silence and remember those who have fallen for our freedom.

Well had another fantastic day. Had about 4 hours of cardio doing yard work. I manually dug up a bed for the back yard. Which was so freaking hard in California dirt. #hatersmiley0wk# Its like trying to dig in concrete. Thank goodness I work out or I probably would not have been able to do it. I will have to take a picture of it. Then went on to 6 big pots and updated them from old flowers. Today back at the gym going to try some chest and shoulders. Will go pretty light so to insure I am not going to re-injure myself. I am planning on doing Moderate cardio to day at lunch then tonight I will do HIIT. I am going to try to incorporate 1-2 HIIT sessions a week along with my other cardio I do at lunch.
