Last night had a really good wo!!!! I did deads and chest. Trainer is have me work on grip strength so for the moment I am to do deads with both hands over the bar. I did well until I hit 140 I did 2 reps over hand and then the bar slipped, so finished last 3 reps with one over and one hand under. Bench working really hard at keeping tight and then pausing and keeping tension at the bottom to explode up. Also did good mornings again, love these!!! My upper back is sore from holding the BB lower on my back. But I am assuming that will get better. Also worked abs and hip flexors. The hip flexors are new. Never had to work then with BB, so needless to say they are weak, so I have been working them 3 times a week. GREAT WO!!!

You broke your nose!!!/ ? How did that happen? Just being the spazz that I am Work outs are going ok, still have physio 3 times a week and starting back to work on Sunday so we made them short. It means my split is spread out over a longer period of time but I want to make sure I don't over do it. Maybe I will start up my journal again, I start my second cycle on my new split tomorrow, sounds like a good time to get back into it

I've always done my deads overhand with my thumb over the top,I find it much easier to retain a good grip on the bar that way!

Today was a HARD but AWESOME wo! Me and Bernie(Frank's wife) trained together. We did box squatting 8 sets of 3 reps each. I did a set and she did a set immediately after me so very little rest in between. Bernie is one strong little cookie! I am VERY happy B/C my squatting form is getting MUCH better. Then we did good mornings same thing very little rest in between sets. THEN WE DID THE COOLEST THING....Greg took us out to the parking lot and we took turns pulling a sled!!!! Not what you would think....a square piece of metal with a rope tied to one end that a plate sits on(has a hole to set the plate in) and then we slid the rope on our lifting belt and walked back and forth in the parking lot. We took turns and when one had the sled the other carried a 25lb plate and walked with it. We them walked backward with the sled as well. It was HARD! We then did face pulls with the sled up and down the lot..that was HARD too! Then chest db presses, tri's, a little bit of bi's and then abs. AWESOME DAY AT THE GYM!!!

sounds like a great workout Karrie-I hope you 're not too sore tomorrow! The sled stuff is great for building power in the legs-alot of our pro rugby and league players use assisted and resisted training.

Hey Karrie ! ALWAYS great to have you guys at our gym!!! We'll have to plan brunch/lunch sometime after our wo's! Bernie had fun too! She's certainly hard core. Everytime Greg suggests something harder, she just tells him, "BRING IT ON!" Once we got home and ate, we took a nap this afternoon! Really needed it today! Greg called Bernie on his way down to North Carolina to make sure she was doing ok! She told him, "Of course! I told you to bring it on! Easy work out! I thought you were gonna make it harder!" YIKES! Wait until next time You looked great! And for those of you who DON'T know, Karrie is one of the few people I've seen look good while working out! Hair just right, lipstick, etc. Very cute Bernie takes the "GRUNGE" appoach: Bandana tied on, heavy sweats, and a whole lotta attitude! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Also...very cute;) Both of you were looking strong......improving every day! Just ANOTHER great gym day!!! Keep on watching everybody...this is gonna get good!

The sled stuff is great for building power in the legs-alot of our pro rugby and league players use assisted and resisted training. I am sore. More across my upper back as the position of the bb is lower than I am used to, so that area is pretty tender I did really like the challenge of using the sled. It was HARD work. I have 2 more weeks on this routine then Greg is switching it up.

Thanks for the compliments Frank. ;D I am me, a little on the prissy side, I will be one of the only PLifters with lipstick on..can't help that, it is just me and I like me. ;D ;D Your wife and I train well together, push each other when we look exhausted and then we kick it into gear! Greg called me too to make sure I am ok. He is just so AWESOME checking on us! Such a great guy! Yes, we will have to plan lunch in the future, just hard b/c our drive is 30min to your gym and then 90min work and usually my sister keeps Alexa and Dylan but we'll figure something out! Yes, I agree it is GETTING good, after this past Saturday's wo I am even more hooked on this sport!!! I imagined myself as a "tough guy" in one of those strong man contests while I was pulling the sled!

Special Order from Inzer.
We were talking about a belt for you. There's a girl at our gym that MIGHT have one your size. We'll have to introduce you to her next time your up. Her name is Terri, and she has done figure, bodybuilding and powerlifting.
