That is awesome that you have a trainer now How great would that be if you could compete in November and have lots of support there cheering you on I MISS YOU!!!!!! I emailed you back this week did you get it or are you still having computer issues? Trying to get on line more but I don't think I got that email

Last night worked back and shoulders!! VERY sore today!!! Dead lifted 175 again last night for 4 on my last set. Been working my abs faithfully 4 days a week and they are pretty sore today as well.
Tonight chest and calves. I also am going to practice box squatting again with just the bar.
Cardio last night and again tonight.

I start with my trainer this Saturday and I am picking up my chuck taylor shoes tomorrow!!! I have not trained at all this week, Vacation Bible School all week at my church...almost 400 kids there all week, I am helping with the 3yr olds!!! AHHHHH, just kidding!!!

wow! 175 for deads-AWESOME!!! #bconfetti2sq# Thanks Beckie! I have been pretty happy with my deads lately!!! Ok, so, I met with Greg, the guy who is going to help train me and all I have to say is he is just AWESOME!!!! This guy just came back for the worlds, won the masters and came in 2nd in the over all, and he is the most humble guy I think we have ever met!!!! So willing to help!!! THANKS A MILLION FRANK AND BERNIE!!!! Anyway, off of my ramble, so I began breaking the bb squat and let me tell you...VERY hard BUT I began to get the hang of it towards the end. Next he worked with me on deads which he had very little to show me as my form is already great..thank goodness...then on benching the arch in my back and tightening everything from head to toe was about all the tweaking we had to do. He is pretty confident that I will be ready for a meet in November....the biggest hurdle is the form on the squats!!! I will get my routine monday......I AM SOOO EXCITED AND ALREADY SORE!!!

Karrie! Bernie and I were so happy you and Terry made it to the gym today! Was great having you train here! Greg IS Da' Bomb! His project for the week is helping a memebr of his church move! Plus his normal job, plus, training, etc. He is a GREAT guy! We didn't want to bother you training you're first day, so we kinda did our own thing, but I hope we can work more together in the future. We might even get Terry to sweat a bit! What do ya think! ;D Treat yourself to a good soak tonight.....you'll thank me in the morning Bernie and I were watching you, and you were doing great! Keep up working on perfecting your form. That seems to be key for powerlifters. Perhaps one of these Saturdays we can all go out and do lunch after we train! There....bet I got Terrys interest now! LOL!!!! Talk soon! Frank

That's good to hear! Greg has been in and out a lot lately. He's got trips to South Carolina and Chicago coming up (all family stuff). But he told Bernie last night to get ready, because he's BACK NOW! He wants her to set ALL NEW RECORDS in November, including her deadlift. He would also like her to break her own record on bench too!
He had Bernie working a lot of back yesterday; hypers, shrugs, deadlifts. Her side is healing well but he still wants her to ice it every night. Her legs were pretty tight last night, so we rubbed them down "Tiger Balm" and wrapped them up. There better today.
Yea, Steves wife Lynn looks really good too. She is huge on stage, and is an excellent poser.
So, when will you guys be out at the gym again?

Yesterday worked on squats. Getting the form much better. Yesterday I did squat pauses, pausing at the bottom and then "exploding" up. Hard to do, but getting it down. Close grip presses with pausing and keeping tension at the bottom and then "exploding"up. I also need to start doing dips...which I HATE....but I did do them yesterday...I will learn to like them.

He talked with Greg about a few questions and brought up the dips and Greg said"She HAS to do dips." So now I do dips. Not as bad as I thought they are just HARD!!!

Today I did super-tri-sets with dips, skull crushers and CG bench then finished off with a drop set of cable overhead extensions, so I used the assisted dip machine Oh ya, I broke my nose last week

The dips will help you so much with your bench Karrie-so you CAN do them I love them esp off a bench with a 20kg plate on my lap!

I have always struggled doing them, but I am gonna have assistance with someone holding my feet. I cannot believe you do dips with a plate on your lap...WOW!!!!! ;D
