This a great site! My name is John and I've been a member for a few years but I haven't been very active. I recently joined a real nice gym and I'm becoming more serious about my BB training. In the last 2 years I've went from 265 to 220 lbs by controlling my diet along with lifting and cardio done 3 days a week. Right now I'm 5'10" and 220 lbs. I'd like to get down to around 12% body fat and in order to do this I'm going to have to become a little more strict with my eating habits and do more cardio. I have also started doing more work on my legs. This is an area I've neglected in the past due to injures, but I'm starting to work through it and my legs are becoming stronger. I've started a log and will add to it a little bit each day. Please feel free to comment!

You seem conscientious about your diet, you are concerned about working out every bodypart properly, including legs, and you've started a log... so in my opinion you are on the right track for success John!
Welcome to Weight On The Web and enjoy!

Thanks for the welcome! Welcome on WOTW! Which was your legs injuries? Congratulations for your results and your strict diet and training! M-Eve Thank you, Marie!...Sorry for not posting sooner. I was involed in a motorcycle wreck and landed on my knee. The knee swelled up the size of a softball. Had the hematoma removed and the knee has had some problems ever since. Going up stairs used to be a real problem for me, lots of pain in the knee joint. I'm doing much better now, since I started training my legs.

Ouch!!! When this motocycle accident did happen? Do you had physiotherapist treatments? Do you train your stabilizing knees muscles?
I wish that this injuries does not affect too much your trainning...
Have a nice week! And congrats for your achievement since this accident.

Some of the stuff I did in the Army didn't do my legs any good either. No, I've never had any kind of physical therapy. Can you suggest any exercises? I've been doing the basic stuff, squats, presses, extensions, etc. My training is coming along pretty good despite my shortcomings. As long as I'm careful, I'll be OK.
