Nice dips! I suck at dips! Whats against the grain? I love dips. You have your presses and I have my dips.. So there ;D Joel. You ask, what is "AGAINST THE GRAIN"...? Well, this could take some time to explain, but I think you would actualy agree with SOME so it would not be much against the grain for you. In brief. I feel as though I do alot of things different than what a bodybuilder "should do". I like low carbs + high fat, when most say " You cannot get contest ready like this." I like to train for pure strength when most say " This is not the way to build muscle. you need variety and different angles and stimulis, ect." I enjoy living a NORMAL life and also being able to compete. This includes eating what I want even during contest prep. (within reason of course). I believe there are no rules to cardio when others will argue for days about this muscle loss or that deffinition loss, blah, blah..... Everyone is different. When it comes down to it there are no rules. DO what you gotta DO. I guess I am not truly a bber at heart, I just do it for a challenge. Dont get me wrong, I LIVE for lifting, and I also enjoy manipulating the body through diet, believe it or not! So anyway, in brief, this is some of what I mean by "AGAINST THE GRAIN!. Like Dorian said best "I'M PLAY'N MY GAME!"

Is that scary!! lol It's funny because I've always stayed away from most of the mainstream training and dieting beliefs.

Whats funny, or interesting, anyway, is that my approach has evolved over the past couple years, so that its a lot like yours. I do what works for me. Youre in a good place the way I see it!
