Hi guys! Sorry haven't posted for awhile.
Just a short note. Know how Hoops felt awhile back.
For some reason, REALLY tired, REALLY sore. Don't even feel like going to the gym. Just feel like crawling back in bed and sleeping for a week or more.
Sounds like symptoms of over training, but it's not. Not sure what it's about. Have an MD appointment Thursday, so I hope he can shed some light on it.
Only have one word to say...."CRAP!"
Sorry for the "downer" sounding thread. You all know that's not my style, but I felt like venting and I knew you guys woould understand.
Perhaps one of you should just slap me around and say, "SNAP OUT OF IT!"

Good thing that you scheduled an appointment with the MD, but It sounds like it's only a little down of motivation. If it's the case, there is nothing to worry about, we all go through times like this Frank! Just make sure that you change things up a little bit in the gym... do not fallow any plan for a while... just go to the gym and do what you feel like... have fun! I'm sure the first thing you'll know after that, it's that your passion for the gym is back! Come on Frank, lifting some crazy weights is something you have a talent and will for... so take advantage of it and enjoy, because there is a lot of people who would like to be in your position!

Thanks everybody. You all seem to know me pretty well too! Good call Carl! Looking forward the the MD appt tomorrow. ALso found out last week that I have severe obstructive sleep apnea. Not happy about that. Have a few follow-ups scheduled. Went to the gym and glided through a nice bench wo, No new PR's yet ;D. BUT...there was a LOT of interesting (ahem) Spandex which kept me motivated. Still not 100%, but better. To quote the Governator............: "I'll be back!" ;D

The apnea can most definitely foul up your endurance, energy and mood. I had an employee with chronic apnea... he just looked ragged. Eventually tried c-pap and other solutions- I don't know what he's doing now but looks much better.

Yea, they talked CPAP, but I sure don't like the idea. I may have to drop a weight class or two, back to my BB weight. I go back for another sleep study to see if the CPAP makes a difference.
From what I've read, the people that have used them successfully, swear by them.

Thanks again everybody. Still in the "funk" better trying to fight it. Still really tired. Sore all the time, joints and ligaments, not muscles. My hips are killing me. Felt like a got hit by a truck.
MD appt. was mixed. One of my levels, which we expected to be low, was extremely high. Endo thought it was a fluke and adjusted some meds, and wantrs to see me back in amonth. Also saw a nutritionist who wants me to make some diet modifications dur to the high BP and apnea.
Status quo. CRAP! Worked out today. So-so workout. Did get a massage from our new Massage Therapist (she's 26 years old and very cute!) SO that was (ahem) nice. She really worked my glute-hamstring tie-ins for along time.
Just a little ray of sunshine in an otherwise crappy few weeks.

My feeling is that its the sleep apnea-my mother has it and she feels tired and lethargic all day long. It may be that yours has gotten worse thus the onset of the feeling lousy. I hope they can figure out what to do!

Hey~ Quick Update: Didn't sleep well at all last night. Perhaps 1-2 hours at most. Due to some of my lab results, etc. I am starting a new diet today, under the guidance of my physician and a nutritionist. It is a "Protein-Sparing Modified Fast Diet", so it will be challenging if I keep to it. I gave a feeble attempt at one of these before, but this one will be monitored, so we'll see how it goes. Today is only day one. I can already imagone how it will affect my lifitng. Keep ya updated. Thanks to everyone for all their support

Thanks Mo! That really means a lot. Everything is cool. Just really tired all the time, and a bit "cranky".
Just need to make some adjustments.
Our best to you and Marie-Eve!

Hey Frank if you have any questions about sleep apnea or cpap or the other methos called bipap just ask or call. I can help out in the field for info as i work in a sleep lab. Give the cpap a GOOD shot it will work. You have to give it a little time to get used to it. If your having problems with it after a while during the spap study tell them you would like to try BIPAP..
