I know I haven't been around for awhile so I just wanted to let everyone know I'm still alive and training my ass off for the Master's Nationals. My dad was diagnosed with inoperable throat cancer about a month ago...for the last month my days have consisted of getting in my training, taking care of the family( wife is out of town) and running my dad down to Lauderdale for treatments. It's been hectic to say the least and I am sure it isn't the perfect situation to find yourself in while training for a National show..but that's the cards I have been dealt and I am doing the best I can. Life is all about facing down adversity. My training has great despite everything, and getting up to Pittsburgh and competing will actually be a relief. Can't make any predictions on how I will do, but you can believe I am doing everything I can to mkae a good showing. Eric Brugh has been a great help and more importantly a great friend, and has made it possible for me to try to pull this off...I know HE is going to kick ass up there!

I'd like to thank everyone for all the kind words and encouragement. It's been trying to say the least, but a real leson on perseverance. And, just as I do with my handicapped son, I look at my dad now and say to myself what the hell do I have to complain about compared to that!

In the dictionary, the word "inspiration" should have Keith's picture next to it. As an athlete and much more importantly, as a human being. I'm humbled and proud to know him.
