Oops..she did it again! Bernie won 1st Place in the Womens Masters Division, in the USAPL Inaugural Powerlifitng Meet in St Louis. She set a new PR (Personal Record)in her squat and deadlift, and that means a new Total PR, which was her goal for this meet. The judging was tough with all national judges in their seats. She did not participate in the open events this time, but if she did, she would have come in 2nd for the womens overall meet. Bernie did tweak her arm again in her first bench attempt, which has been giving her a lot of problems lately. She did press through it, and finished her deadlifts too. Looks like we will be visiting the MD on our return home. She did FANTASTIC and I'm very proud of her!!!! So for now.....time for some R&R...! Warm Up and ...STRETCH! SQUAT! Keep Watching.....

Pull Baby! Steppin' up to that #1 position on the podium !!! Ahhhh...Matching shirts...ain't we cute? ;D Before the meet, our Trainer (Greg), told Bernie, "You DESERVE to be here!"...and she made us all proud! "Cheesin" with the legendary Mike Bridges Last but not least, I wanted to post this picture of a gentleman we met named John who lives in sunny California. He was born and raised right here in Cleveland Ohio, but after the war, his shipped docked in San Diego, and he never looked back. There must be something in the water here in Cleveland..right Vince Anello? Oh..yea, by the way..."John" completed all 9 lifts....and he is 80 YEARS OLD!!! [ So now.....get the arm checked out by the Doc, a little R&R, and back into the gym!!! ...and yes....there's no place like home ! ;D THANKS EVERYBODY !!!!!! ;D

Thanks Fit.....YES....those ARE CT's! Red ones, too!
Rich..Thanks Brother...YES, she is an inspiration.....not just by the way that she lifts, but under the adversity in which she DOES lift. She has active Lupus, and also had gastric bypass surgery almost 5 years ago, dropping over 100 pounds in 9 months. She's 50 years old, works 10-12 hours a day in a over-stressed job, in the gym 2-3 hours after that, takes care of 3 grandchildren (puts up with all my sh*t), AND...............then goes to another state and WINS First Place, with a strained bicep.
Duh....and some people drag there azz out of bed saying their too tired to go to the gym.
I'll say it for my wife of 31 years....... "Lead....Follow....or Get The HELL outta the Way!"
Thanks guys!!!!
