Hey gang i know i havent been posting much or been keeping up with my log. Its been a freaking busy summer however the last 6 weeks have been even worse. My daughters dance teacher came up to me a little over 7 weeks ago and asked if i would train her daughter for an upcoming Talent-Pagent show in Vegas. Its an international show/contest that she qualified for, for winning the West Virginia Cinderella Pagent. So i took on the challenge with only 6 weeks to take a 19 y/o thats was in good shape and put her in great shape and condition. Now dont get me wrong this girl was already in good shape, however, she needed to be tighter throughout to fit into her talent outfit which i guess was really small and her gown. So for 6 weeks i ran this girls diet and training all leading up to this week in Vegas. I was a little worried cause with 6 weeks i had no time for error. This girl put everything she had into it and did it to get ready. Her freaking abs that didnt show in the beginning were smoking at the end of 6 weeks. She was tight but not overdone to look like a bodybuilder. She had great lines and a very well rouned look to her. Well the final 2 weeks into it she comes to me and decided for the fist time ever that she was also going to do the swim suit modeling part of the pagent also. This girl NEVER would put on a swim suit for she thought she didnt look good in them. She has a body that any teen and 20 or 30 y/o would die for and she wouldnt put on a suit. However with the transformation that she did in getting ready it gave her confidence to wear one. I would love to be able to talk her into a figure contest cause i think she would do well.

Well this week she is in Vegas competeing all week a the International Cinderella Pagent. So she is going against girls from the United Stated and other countries. So far here is what i have found out to how she is doing.....

Saturdays talent contest she took 1st place.(this is the one where she needed to be tighter in her dance outfit. She received several compliments from competitors and judgtes on how she looked and how great her abs looked) damn i hit the carb up on the nose from the way it sounds. I also dried her out for this and sundays swim suite.

Sunday was the Swim suite modeling contest. She took 3rd in this which i was just happy about. First time she wears a swim suite let alone in an international contest and takes 3rd. Come to find out the top 2 were picked cause they were taller than her and had the runway model look. Tall Skinny and all bones(YUCK). But hey she was happy for 3rd thus i'm happy for her.

The big one comes Friday night which is the whole ball of wax. Thats when they crown the International winner. The rest of the week she has to do different things that lead up to Friday and the final decision. My fingers are crossed for her.

Heck if she wins it all i can say i trained the international pagent winner.....

That's wonderful Steve- You said "the last 6 weeks have been even worse"... I know what you mean- but it sounds like they were even better. You helped a young person out to achieve something she couldn't- and you helped her overcome, it sounds like, some image issues.

You are doing a great thing my friend. You (as you always have) lead by example. You are making a big difference in someones life, and their future. I commend you for that. It is by teaching others, that we learn more ourselves. You may not see it, but I bet your child is observing, and learning too. She probably hears her Dad talking about this, and is VERY proud of you.

I want to leave you with these words of wisdom, my friend:

Well i got the phone call Saturday night and she didnt win the overall pagent show. She was still very upbeat and happy for how she did prior in the week. I'm not sure where she finished i know it wasnt top 5. She was very happy with how she did and looked and received several compliments so that made her very happy....

Thanks everyone! I'm very proud of her. One for taking on the task of training to look better and second for putting on a swim suite for the first time and competeing in it. Have yet to see the pics she took from vegas.....
