I would appreciate your opinion on the matter. I'm slowly building my homegym. I even have buddies coming here to train and it's a lot more satisfying then I tought. So, I need mirrors like any good gym and I should repaint my new place for my gym. Do you guys have ideas to what color or colors is the most inspiring for you when you are in the mood to train?
Thanks.

Since it's YOUR place, it's all personal preference, I think.
IMO, I personally don't like "fluffy bunny" stuff...pastels, cute patterns, etc.
Think of size and space too. Colors will make a difference. Too dark, will make it appear smaller.
I personally like something that is going to put me in the mood to bang out a hard work out..deep blood red, with something dark, black or grey. If your putting up any posters for motivation, consider the background color, and your lighting.
Too much pattern, too many posters, too MANY mirrors, can just make it distracting.
Use whatever, will help you keep focus to getting the job done.
Good luck, and send pics when you're done!

My gym is not painted, and I don't find it detracts from the workouts. I HAVE put up a lot of motivational pictures and posters though, placed right where I can see them when I train. For example, when I squat, I am looking right at Tom Platz. When I deadlift ... Franco Columbu. Lee Haney is there as well. So is Dorian. When I bench press I am looking at a poster of every single Mr. Olympia up to Ronnie Coleman. When I do preacher curls I'm staring at Larry Scott. You get the idea!
Having said that, I'd go with white. That way the posters and pictures you put up will contrast better.

Why would someone need colors when he can have MIRRORS and POSTERS! I helped my friend Tommy to build his homegym and we decided to keep it white and to add a lot of mirrors! The result is pretty satisfying and I love to train there! Jean, maybe we should ask Debbie Travis about this one
