Eric is an exceptional athlete and a gentleman. As great off stage as on stage.
He has had an amazing run over the last several years and deserves all the good publicity he can get. Pro card coming one of these days.
Congrats, Eric!!

Hopefully next year a pro card gets added to this. There are some things I feel I need to work on so I will have a long off season to improve instead of only a 4 month off season like I had this year.

This show was a good one:
2006
USA Junior Nationals - NABBA, Medium, 3rd USA Junior Nationals - NABBA, Masters 40+, 3rd
I went in weighing 244 and looked like a bloated whale. Tried something new and needless to say it backfired big time. LOL
This show put me in the hospital for a week:
2003
Junior Nationals - NPC, HeavyWeight, 13th
I gained close to 30 pounds in 13.5 hours and ended up in the Emergency room with atrial fibrillation. Won't make that mistake again.

Looking at it that way = EVEN MORE IMPRESSIVE! Thanks Chris. Didn't realize all the shows I have done. There are even more state shows scattered throughout those years. I think Muscle Memory only lists national shows.

Eric - if you don't mind sharing what are the area(s) you feel you need to improve on? In the past, from the few pics I saw I didn't see what areas were lacking. My wife did mention there seemed to be a some imbalance on your rear lat spread. It could have been the timing of the photo but I don't know. So if you don't mind sharing with us - I was just curious what improvements we can see in the next year? Thanks, Jeremy

I need to raise my left shoulder up a bit and sometimes I forget. One of the main things I need to improve are my abs. I need to build more muscle in the front so that they are more prominent in the front relaxed stance. I will start training them 2 or 3 times a week to do this. One of the days will be a heavy day of crunches so I can build more muscle. The other area is my upper middle chest. Need a bit more muscle there. Also need to bring tris up a bit. I am very picky and a perfectionist when it comes to this. Not sure if that is a good thing though. lol

Thanks Eric
It's refreshing to see someone so open and honest about their own physique.

Good point Jeremy, as competitive bodybuilders we need to be objective about ourselves thats the only way we can improve. Nobody is perfect but thats what makes this such a great sport, theres always room for improvement! Although in Eric's case I don't see much wrong! We should all be so lucky!

Trust me Joel, there are things I need to improve. We are never happy with our physiques and that is what keeps us going.

The physique is a continuing work in progress, and every show and every workout is a learning experience. An improved Eric should be tough to beat on any stage for sure.
