Just a short note to say...[glow=red,2,300]I'm back from California![/glow]I'll post more details here later, but will give you a little "taste", just to wet your appetite!
Here goes:
~ USAPL World Masters Powerlifitng = Greg Page =First Place= Gold Medal Total=1551 lbs.
~ Made LOTS of new friends. My wife literally talked the shirt that says "Sweden Powerlifitng" right off the Swedish coachs back!
~ I did the same with Head Coach from Team Japan!
~ Volunteered to work the USAPL booth one day. I was the Japanese/German interpreter for the day!
~ Brad Gillingham was phenominal! ;D Squats and Deads in the high 800 range, setting world records for the USAPL. Bench was high 600 range too. My hero with double bicep tendon tears.
~ Bought my first "Bench Shirt"! (Dark side won me over!)
~ Lots of good food, lots of great memories!
~ Temp in Palm Springs = 108 (Yea, I gotta a nice tan!)
~ Went to Venice Beach (Muscle Beach) = Disappointed, run down, not what it was in it's hey day.
~ Went to an Indian reservation in the desert = VERY cool...lots of pics there.
~ Relived some "honeymoon" memories from 31 yeqrs ago!
Glad to be home (yea, right! 50 degress in Cleveland)
I took a few hundred pics in the 7 days we were there, so I will download and pic and choose a few goodies to post here!
I missed you guys!
