Well, the holidays are around the corner! Are you thinking about your nutrition goals yet? Are you going to keep to your current nutrition? Are you going to "lighten up" for the holday meal?
Are you going to "graze" on leftovers? Are you going to "nibble" around the cook's preparations?
An extra slice of pie? An exta serving of "taters and gravy"? Seconds? Thirds?
How will you keep your sanity over the next 2 months? Too early to think of next years goals?
Share your thoughts!
Here's what I'm thinking right now: I like pie! I like bakery! hmmmm...hmmm.hmmm! but: Health FIRST. #1 - I have to watch my weight and blood pressure. #2 - I have some goals to compete next year. #3 - I want to enjoy the holidays without stressing myself, or my family out (too much)!
SO, todays weight is 183 lbs. I compete at 181 lbs. My BP today was 127/78 (which is good for me). If on January 1, 2009, I am the same weight and BP (or better), I'll consider the holidays a nutritional success!
How about you?

I am going to be a normal person on both Holidays, which means eating as much and whatever I want. Going to be off work all Thanksgiving week and around two and a half weeks at Christmas, which means lots of extra cardio time. I'm liking the sound of all of this. LOL

Well...I'm off to a (ahem) great start. My wife had the kids over today, and cooked a nice big roast beef dinner....with (my favorite) homemade apple pie for dessert. She only makes this pie for special occasions, so...YES...I ate 3/4 of the freaking pie! There, I said it! I'll drag my calorie loaded butt to the treadmill tomorrow, followed by a lot of freaking sets! But tonight......1/4 pie left It's gonna be a long holiday

For the rest of the year, I have a 50th anniversary party, Thanksgiving, my birthday and Christmas.
I know I am going to indulge on those days, so am trying to keep exercising and eating normally the days in between.
Resistance should be called won't power, not will power. On holidays, I say I will! ;D

As the "Borg" from Star Trek say, "Resistance is futile"! " You will be assimilated"! I finished the last of the pie yesterday
