Congrats to you BOTH! First to : TINA! You deserve a lot of thanks and a weekend away (hint-hint Joel!). To have a great supporter behind you is VERY important. I know...been there-done that! My wife told me that if I compete as a bodybuilder again, I have to find someplace else to live for the last 2 weeks of contest prep! (Good thing we compete as powerlifters together, huh?) And Joel! Lots of hard work Bro, and strict dieting really paid out. YOU looked GREAT Brother! Inhale...big breath...nice meal....it's over! Re-look the prep, makes some notes, make the new plan while it's all fresh in your head. I understrand about the NPC judging. Most of my shows went well, but some of the call-outs were questionable. There were a couple where I obvioulsy had the spot, but they "gifted" someone else! THat's just one of the reasons I started powerlifitng..me and the weights. I lift the bar or I don't. But, it's all part of the lovely organization we play in, ain't it?!? LOL! BUT, you have the right idea. Your conditioning looked great! Hopefully you feel as good as you look too. Now...job-well-done! Enjoy the meals to come. Go spoil your wife (you know she deserves it after this!) Outstanding brother! Very proud of you! WAY TO GO JOEL ! ! ! ! Frank, That was really uplifting! Thank you for your words of incouragement!

Joel!!! I wasn't at home during the weekend so I couldn't be online, but I had some positive thoughts for you buddy! And thanks to Randy I received the latest info about your show on a regular basis!
First, congrats for the outstanding showing! Joel, this is truly the best I've seen you! You are a dominant athlete on so many levels: Your physique is a perfect balance between mass, condition and esthetic, the way you pose is phenomenal and your attitude is admirable! In other words, you represent what our sport should be!
Second, I wouldn't mind about the placing... because ask yourself the question: Would you really like to switch your physique with the kind of physique that often wins shows (Big but no esthetic, gut, no legs)? I'm sure the Joel who started training a couple of (many :-) ) years ago was visualizing himself a lot like he is today... and not like these guys...
And thank you Tina for the pictures!

Completely agree with Mo! Joel, you are what the sport should be about. I feel humbled and honored to be on the same forum as you (and the others, of course!).
