The 2008 season is finally over for me. My personal goal was to stay focused through the end of the competition and present better than my last outing. In years past, I think that maybe I did one more show than my mind was truly focused on. Based on that, I am satisfied with my efforts. I entered the Masters 60+ and 50+. The 60+ was a class of 3 and the 50+ was a class of 7. Good bodybuilders in both classes. I was fortunate to place first in both classes. The 50+ class did present a more competitive class and I held my breath as the 2nd place name was called. When I did not hear my name, I breathed a sigh of relief. After that, I changed into comfortable clothes and enjoyed watching the rest of the show. I left the venue at about 10:30, called my wife, Ruth, to give her the update. She was pleased and asked if I wanted pizza or blueberry pancakes when I got home.
