It's almost 2005. Can you believe yet another year has flown by? We are nearly 3 weeks from Christmas. I started my shopping this year in early November only because I didn't want to deal with the craziness of the traffic in the malls. I was suppose to host Christmas dinner for the family but my husband and I are getting ready to open escrow on another house shortly so I got out of having to do it this year. That will be our Christmas present to each other. So as of now, plans are up in the air. Mom in law will probably end up cooking (she's a great cook by the way) and hosting dinner. So what's everyone doing for the holidays? ? ?

I'm going to go to my parents house, along with hubby, the stepkids, and my sister and brother-in-law. Should be fun and high-energy!!

There is one one thing important for me: receive of lot of gifts! ;D
Some say that Chrismas is the time of the years to love each other! NO WAY Chrismas is to give and receive gifts... the 364 other days are for love and that kind of thing! ;D ;D

same thing as every year:
in the morning go to my dad's parents' house and celebrate with HIS side of the family... at night, mom's side comes over to my parents' house and we do it all over again

A quiet Christmas with my wife,by a cozy fire hopefully, as I don`t like huge gatherings ,especially up here where I know no one!

For the last 8 years because of business, I haven't been able to go home for Xmas. This year is different, I was able to schedule away some time and will be at home with my Mom, Dad, Brother and his family. I'm soooooooo freaking jazzed about going I can barely contain myself!

That`s awesome,8 years is way too long!! And I suffered every one of them. I spent time with friends, but I would always be thinking about family, or I'd stay home and immerse myself in work or something to keep my mind off things. I learned a tremendous amount about emotional control that way.

Well, usually I spent XMas Eve with my mom's side of the family (like my XMas), but since all us grandchildren have grown up and most have children, the gathering has gotten smaller over the years But, it's still a nice time. I MAY be doing that. XMas Day, I spend with my parents (I'm an only child). I used to go to my nana's but since her passing a few years ago, it's just been me and my parents (and when I was married, we'd go to my inlaws later in the day...but no more of that this year LOL). BUT, I MAY be going to NC this XMas to spend it with my boyfriend and his family. Still deciding. I'm going down there 12/9-12/13 for his company's XMas party (look out strapless dress, here I come LOL) and to just escape the cold MA weather ;D

My brother and uncle will be visiting, so it will be fun. Also the midnight church service. Gifts are fun to receive and give, of course. But church and family are what the holiday season should be about.

Why are you all looking at me like that?...I KNOW everyone is thinking it!! lol I just had to guts to ask! Since I really cannot stand most of my family(they drive me nuts), I am working the holidays. I have worked through xmas as long as I can remember. Plus, it is GOOD money that entire time, so I really can't pass it up!

As it has been for the past several years, Christmas is a magical time for my kids. The joy I get from getting the house ready to seeing their eyes on christmas morning is Awesome!
I would also like to get my wife something nice.
But I think it would be cool if we (on Tims board) would go on line and wish each other Merry Christmas!
