You gals are the exception, I'll bet most women would prefer a man with a full set of hair. Having all your hair adds to the versalility on how one looks and makes them look more youthful and vibrant. For example, with a full head of hair you can style your hair in a number of different ways, which in turn gives you more options as to how you look., and to match that with body type, clothing, etc. With a balding guy you either keep the scraps on your head, which looks bad to many men, so they opt to completely shave their head and go for the "chrome dome" look.
Now I know I'm probably coming off as metrosexual, I know but I can assure you I am not one. It's not just about looks but losing something permanently you've had before is never easy, be it hair, muscle, posessions, people, etc. Loss in general is never really taken well by most people. Also consider that going bald is a sign of age., and most people do NOT want to grow old. Why try to take are of our bodies, clothing style, to look and feel younger than we are. Same way with people getting plastic surgery, tummy tucks, face lifts etc.
So why this long post by me? I hate losing my hair, I hate people making comments, and I hate losing something that I consider one of the strongest points to the way I look.

Yes I understand, I really do, my bf started going bald at 17 and it did bother him alot!! I disagree about the fact that women would "prefer" a full head of wavy hair on her man, I mean is hair really that important? The sexiest men are men who are physically fit with muscles and a good heart. Believe me, good looks are important to me, but I find a well developed handsome man with a shaved head WAAAAYYYYY sexier than a man with thick wavy hair and a flabby chest.  I can understand that losing your hair is upsetting to you, I really do. But just know that many women find bald men HOT. |

Yeah,I guess men are sort of catching up with women with respect to the 'more than skin deep' thing. I admit when I was younger I WAS more superficial but with a bit of life experience and maturity,it has taught me to go beyond what one sees on the surface. I try and see the good in everyone whether it be eyes,a smile or something that doesn't directly correlate with 'looks'. I'm in my mid 30's now and I'm beginning to see the visual signs of aging on my face and I'm not entirely comfortable with it-I know understand the pressure women feel to etain their 'youth'.
