Hi all, I discovered this website after being directed here from tim's new site, timwescott.com. I found this site after reading one of his articles on bb.com which I really enjoyed. I'm from Kentucky and Ohio originally but live in central Florida now. I'm currently training for an NPC show at the end of May. This will be my 2nd show. The 1st was back in 07. I had little help, but I was given a ketogenic diet online and lost almost 50 lbs. (a lot of muscle with the fat)! This time I'm starting 20 weeks out and taking my time losing the fat while trying to hold onto as much muscle as possible. I appreciate any help and am looking forward to gaining a lot of knowledge from this forum! Wolfie

Thanks Mo. I appreciate any and all advice. I'm taking 20 weeks this time to really hang onto as much muscle as possible. Last time I prepared for a show it was ketogenic for about 12 weeks and a crash course. I lost tons of muscle that way, so I'm learning more and more everyday. Again, I appreciate the post on carb cycling as well. That article from Tim appeared on bb.com and that's what got me researching carb cycling and discovering his sites! Plus, I really enjoyed that article the best of all the carb cycling articles I've read. Looking forward to learning more!

I lived most of my life in Greenup County, up by Ashland. It's right on the border of Ohio and not too far from W. Va. You've got an impressive list of placings mrky03. I'd appreciate any and all advice. I just started Tim's carb cycling diet this week. I was doing a low carb, low fat high protein diet the 1st month of my prep. Lost about 4 % body fat that 1st month and added a lot of muscle and strength. Now I'm looking to hold onto as much muscle as possible while shedding this excess fat. I need to get my % as low as possible to be competitive in this central Fl. area, as well as anywhere I suppose.

Thanks Wolfie! Sounds like you're on the right track with your diet. As far as training goes I've always did well with short heavy workouts. You can check out my training journals if you're interested.
Everybody here on the board is very helpful and all you have to do is ask if you have a question or a training/dieting issue!

No reson to start a new thread! Hey everyone, found this great site & will be a frequent user. I've read Tim's articles over @ T-Nation. WOW, to the poster above me, as I was writing this I see your from E town. My dad is born & raised there. He's kinda of a HS bball legend there! Very cool. Send me a PM when you can.
So cool to be here @ this site! I was looking where to post a thread about buying a gym or owning a gym because I'm interested in buying one here im my area or maybe one day starting one. And any tips would be great. So where's the proper area to post that? Tks!
