Okay I'm trying a 12 week cut with my girlfriend who has never ever watched what she ate. I promised her a cheat day a week if she could eat "PERFECT" 6 days a week. The macro count I have her on is:
Training day: Off Day: Protein: 200 g 200g Carbs: 160 g 120g Fat: 21 g 21g
My question is should I manipulate her carb intake on Saturday, like take it down to 60 or so grams to make up for Sunday cheat and return to normal on Monday or keep her carbs low on monday as well. Thanks for any advice in advance! Let me know if you think her calories are on par as well. She is 5'6" and about 120. We just finished week 2 and she's down almost 2 inches on her waist.....

What are your goals with this? What are HER goals?
Realize that your bodies are different and will react differently and progress will vary both of you.

I am in the process of cutting with a cheat meal once a week. My cheat meal is either Fri, sat, or sunday at dinner. Just depends on what the weekend has in store for me. Also the cheat is anything i want. I keep my carbs at or around 100-120 all week. then on the day of the cheat i run them even lower to even zero. Then i have my cheat meal. Then next day i run back to normal. This has actually worked wonders for me in my weight lose/cut......I used to do the traditional clean carb up and it worked ok. However, since i've tried this way ive seen better results to this point. I'm about 10 weeks into it also and havent slowed up yet with my weight lose..

Hey guys thanks for the info! My goals are to prove to myself I can still commit to something. The goal of the 12 week plan for both of us is to lean out, with a photo shoot being the end all.

She competing? BBing? Figure? Depends on the body type and goals. I dont see much wrong with it. I normally do the cheat thing myself. My wife does it right through almost all of prep (figure). This is my first time not using cheat meals. I would keep carbs very low on the day of as well as the day after.

Her goals are to see what she's capable of and I'd love her to eventually compete, but of course she has to want to do that. My hopes are through this she will see her potential and try and compete, and it would be figure for sure.... Thanks again for the info!
