let me put this in another perspective for you. we tend to base our progress on total bodyweight ie 128lbs, 150lbs 200lbs. now you say you have gone 109 when you started to only 127lbs presently. Now you think he if I crossed over I could add another 20-30lbs...possibly. BUT fact of the matter is yes you only weigh 127lbs, then again you used to weigh 109lbs, hence you gained 18lbs which is a 20% increase in totoal bodyweight. To me that improvement is leaps ahead over what you stsrted with. Most guys who weight train today start at 150, train a couple months, get up to 155-160, think they have peaked genetically because they have tried everything to gain size(cough>BULLsh*te<cough), go to the darkside and get to 180 and never surpass that except for briefly the rest of thier lives. My point is and I see how you have been picked on some of the boards, is that you have progressed a hell of alot more then most people when you look at the big picture. My point is dont worry about what some olympic athlete has done. Continue doing and improving on what ifearman is doing to make those gains you have already made thanks milly...I appreciate the kind words....

shadowboy - you can be competive and earn a pro bodybuilding card without drugs if you compete in the natural divisions. this is the main reason I stayed away from steroids. Right now I can be competitive on a national level for my pro card in natural bodybuilding if I were to take steroids and only be able to compete in the NPC or amature IFBB shows then for me to be competitive on a national level I would need to take an unhealthy amount of drugs. I have nothing against those who responsibly use steroids as I think in small doses that you usually just get stronger and healthier... however, you aren't going to go pro in the IFBB at small doses these days unfortunately. -Layne very true , and like i said , its years a head of me , and and have not intent on messing up my health , god gave me the luxury of being a healthy man , why fu*k with that ? a pro card is my dream , but thats what that is , a dream , in some point in time i have to choose if i go after it or not , and let the chips fall where they may . but untill that day , i have pleanty of time to grow on my own rate , and like i said , most likely i'l find that comfort zone and would like to just maintain size and saty in shape .

Ok, I am going to give the other side of the fence view. If you want to take gear responsibly I see absolutely nothing wrong with it. It is not something to be ashamed of or to deny and many more people are doing them than care to admit.
It is wrong to get a AAS edge and compete naturally, I will be the first to admit that. But with that said, if you want to do a couple of cycles and put on some mass I don’t see anything wrong with it. The media has portrayed this image of some guy sitting in the dark corner injecting who knows what like a drug addict. Sure there are guys and gals do go to extremes and take the risk of serious long term harm but if you do your homework and do not abuse them I don’t personally feel they are a detriment to your health.
Prohormones will be banned shortly and after that taking M1T will be considered an illegal steroid. I know many guys including myself who have done M1Tcycles and are loading up before the ban. I find it hard to believe that something I am doing today that is legal but in February it won’t be. Nothing has changed except the calendar.
I am not suggesting everyone run out to their local supplier and order up a bunch of AAS. It should be a personal decision, plain and simple. Guys on juice should not judge someone who chooses not to and guys who have no desire to gear should never frown upon those that choose to go that route.
I get so sick of hearing how it is all the gear. You would think if Ronnie and Jay stopped juicing they would shrink down to nothing. All of these misinformed internet idiots who think it solely the gear that has given them their incredible bodies. Sure gear helped but not as much as commitment, desire, willingness to sacrifice and plain old hard work. Some of these azzclowns on other boards think you take a pill in the morning you will have to buy new shirts in the afternoon because your chest just gained 10 inches in size. I am certainly not referring to anyone on this quality board but you guys know the type I am talking about. These friggin know it alls who can’t bench their bodyweight but type messages throughout the day ripping the folks who actually lift weights. Sorry for the rant but after reading Layne’s thread about being called out and stalked by some internet coward it got my blood boiling. ;D

I'm with Mike about it being a personal choice. I was headed that way when I was diagnosed with severe andropause, I had already made up my mind.
The point of all the furor is that these folks tried to trick the system. THAT is Cheating!
I remember when Mark Maguire bulked up. He admitted it was due to creatine. PLEEEEZE, he was juicing!
Thats what I like about guys like Palumbo and Titus. They are HONEST about their aas use.
I also get tired of the BS of get a shot, get big. Everyone I know who knows I'm on HRT, I've told the same thing, that my meds take me up to a high NORMAL only. My gains I'm made by NEVER missing a workout unless really sick, NEVER missing a meal, and getting tons of rest (love my power naps).
So if they ask, I say it's your choice, if you accept the risks. BUT lift as hard as you can, eating and resting right for at least 3 years before even considering it.
rant mode off

I thought this was in regards to Shadowboys intention of going all the way through the madness with the intention of becoming what is today called a "PRO". The discussion seems now to have turned to is it justified to put on 20 lbs. Honestly guys there are ways to put on 20lbs WITHOUT - AS.
