Yesterday I am training in the gym when some dude I have never talked to but seen in there comes up to me and says " I hear you compete." I say "yeah" and move on...I don't take time for casual conversation when I train...all business. After I am done and about to leave he comes up to me again and says , " You look really good, man...if I had all day to train I'd do it too"!!! WTF!!!!Does this dipsh*t have any idea how busy I am on a typical day?! I get so pissed off when I hear these wannabes with the lame ass excuse of not enough time or whatever..... thinking that's all I do!!! I posted a typical day with training a couple of years ago in response to a similar post on one of the boards. Here is a typical day for me at this time:
4:30 2 cups coffee
TRAIN
5:30 Cook all meals for the day.... pack in containers
Make breakfast for myself and my son Keith, wake him
up and feed him, clean him up, brush his teeth and
dress him, get everything ready for school fo him. Put him
in his wheelchair ( most of you know Keithy has CP), and
take him to the end of the drive to wait with him for his
bus ...he gets picked up at 6:15.
6:30 Wake up my wife and the other 3 kids....help get their
breakfast ready and get them all off to school. My wife
teaches Pre-K
7:00 Clean up the kitchen....take my shower, dress and off to
work.
3:00 Home ...waiting to get Keithy off of the bus...he gets
home at 3:15. Unpack his backpack, clean his lunchbox,
give him a snack.
3:45 Get ready to go to the gym..........as soon as my son Kyle
gets home..I am out the door ( 4:00)
6:30 Return home, cook dinner for the kids, feed Keith. I
always make sure that the kids and I spend this
time ( dinner) together as a family, discussing things..
On Fridays I am coaching handicapped children in
a special baseball league now... we leave right after
dinner. During football season, ( July through December),
I am coaching 3 nights a week, 7:00 -9:00, and games on
Saturdays.
I also use this time if I am not coaching to clean the
house, wash the dishes and wash some clothes.......yes,
I REALLY do all of this as my wife tutors after school
hours and I am alone with the kids most days until at
least 9:00 PM, including weekends.
8:00 Help kids with homework
9:00 Bathe Keith, get him and his younger brother Kyle off to
bed.
9:30 Green Tea
9:45 CARDIO 30 minutes
10:30 Shower...BED!!!!
This doesn't even include all the little incidentals that go with
preparing for a competition...tanning, etc.,.......
I barely have 10 minutes to myself anywhere in my day and this ass clown is insinuating that all I do is train!! Just another sorry ass with another lame excuse for not getting it done.
If you want it bad enough you'll find a way!
Now you might understand my motto of " NO EXCUSES"
