Actually I met my first pro and attended my first bb contest on the same day. About 7-8 years ago I moved to Orlando and attended the SouthEastern USA. Dorian was about a month from the Mr. O. To say the least It was probably the most impressive thing I had ever seen. Also on a cool side note. That being my first show that I attended and now I am helping promote this same show. -powerhouse

Skip LaCour.
He might not be an IFBB pro but he could teach most pros a thing or two about professionalism.

Wow, Dave Mastorakis, blast from the past, I ran into him eating at a buffet and he had like 10 plates of food, they had to keep calling for more chicken everytime he got up to go to the buffet, it was fun to watch, when he got done eating and I was leaving the same time he was I said to him, "man I would pay to see that again", he laughed and said, "I could always need a new friend", LOL...

Guess Mastorakis was your role model and idol, IH?
As for me, does Samson count? Met him while the Bible was being written. LOL ;D
Think the first was Frank Zane around 1980, and then again at a seminar several years ago. Met Mike Katz around the same time, then saw him twice this past year. First met Dave Draper in 2001.
Over the last several years, have met, spoken and/or corresponded with Jay Cutler, Art Atwood, King Kamali, Mat DuVall, Markus Ruhl, Gunter Schlierkamp, Garrett Downing, Toney Freeman, George Farah, Danny Padilla, Juliette Bergmann and figure pro Kimberly Becker.
All of these athletes have been positive representatives of the sport.

Tom Terwilliger was first for me. Anyone remember him?

Yes, I remember him. He was a VERY dramatic poser for his time. He had a twin brother too, but I'm not sure if he competed or not.. I still have an old Musclemag International with him as the "Star Profile"... Very good sweep on his thighs, if I recall correctly.

Never met Terwilliger although he lived not oo far from me. Saw him fairly often on a cable TV show in which he was featured. Agree with terry, he was a solid poser.
Glad Layne reminded me about Dave Goodin. We made contact through Dave Draper's forum and met Goodin a couple of times at shows. A great guy and top notch pro natural competitor.
