joe meeko passed away

Sad to hear of the passing of Joe Meeko. He died on Dec 8 2009.
He was a great bodybuilder from the A.A.U. the true MR. America . I talked with him on the phone once and he was really a nice guy ,also bought his lat staps the" meeko power grips" that he sold were really are great. Such a shame to loose him, so young , my condolences go out to his family and friends over thier loss.

Just heard this recently, and it is very sad. Joe was only 48, but had some health issues which plagued hi. he was a great champion, also winning Mr. Universe and the USA title. And more importantly, a nice person with a dedication and enthusiasm for the sport he loved.

I understand he had a sister, and extend sympathy to the family and his friends. Sure he is in a better place and resting in peace.

I heard about this last week, so sad to hear. He was one of my favorite Mr. America's. Very nice and sincere person, he will be missed.
