For those of us who liked the "golden ara" of bodybuilding, its a sad day indeed to find out that master photographer Russ Warner passed away. The Ol' Silver Fox Can you imagine a man who is a great guy with a marvelous personality and sense of humor, with a never-ending trove of jokes, who is also a fine businessman, honest and ethical, loves cars and drives a Ferrari and a Rolls, and besides all this is one of the greatest physique photographers who ever lived? That's the Silver Fox, RUSS WARNER. He passed away October 21, 2004, in Escondido, California, at the age of 87. His pictures of Arnold, Sergio Oliva, Frank Zane, Vince Gironda, Robby Robinson, and many other stars are classics. He was one of a kind. We extend sincere condolences and send our best wishes to his family and many friends worldwide. Courtesy of the photo (not sure if this posted before I just read it off of the muscletime web site.

Thanks Steve........I had read that on ironage and spaced on posting it here!!
Russ Warner has probably taken more famous physique shots for the mags than anyone else. :Not Worthy:
A great loss to the "iron game" no doubt!

Sorry to hear. He was one of the top photographers in the sport and will be sorely missed.
