I was just reviewing a few facts about our current Mr. Olympia. It appears that (and I'm not speaking for Ronnie), he wants to break every record set in bodybuilding so that he can go down in history as the greatest ever in the history of the sport. I think he will do it as well. Just check out these facts: 1. Ronnie has more pro wins then anyone else in the history of the sport. 24 I think 2. Ronnie has competed in 12 Mr. Olympia's (only one . away from the record and only 2 away from breaking it) 3. Ronnie is tied with Arnold for Olympia wins and only 2 away from breaking Haney's record. 4. If Ronnie breaks Haney's record he will either tie or beat Dickersons record for being the oldest man to win the title. 5. Ronnie is the only Mr. Olympia to also win the NOC and the Arnold. 6. Ronnie holds the guisness book record for being the heaviest Mr. Olympia winner.
Its outstanding how many records he currently holds and will break in the next two years.
You can't even compare it to anyone in any other sport!

Very true, Steve. Ronnie is in a class by himself record wise and physically. He was blessed with incredible genetics and the luck and ability to steer clear of injuries.
In addition to your list, think he also the only reigning Olympia winner to also win the Arnold. And almost sure Ronnie is also the only one to win NOC and the O in the same year (1998). Interesting that Lee Haney and Dorian Yates each won their NOC titles the year before the start of their Olympia reigns.
I always figured that Ronnie would retire after the 2006 Olympia, which he would likely break Lee Haney's record. And I think he would also be older than Chris Dickerson. And hope the Masters O is brought back so Ronnie can do that in 2007 and be the only man to win both Os.

Joe Roark, you out there to set us all straight? I know these fellas are correct, but will Ronnie be the oldest over Dickerson? What color was Arnolds posing trunks in 1973?

LOL, think the trunks were black in back and brown in front.
As a negative record, think Ronnie is the only BB to lose a show while Mr O (2nd to Gunter at 2002 GNC).

Gerry, your right. Sergio did lose to Arnold in 1970 at the World cup prior to the Olympia, but that occured in the same year that he lost the title, so its not the same as Ronnie losing the GNC in 2002.
