Thanks for the link Steve.........gives me all the info I need on the Masters Nats!! One thing I can`t get over is the $95.00 entry fee,this ,along with the new jacked up NPC card price gives me more incentive to train harder!!  I`d hate to do all it takes to compete just to come home empty handed!! ;D What with the price of a flight,hotel,entry fee,and NPC card,not to mention food,trunks,gym fees,Pro-Tan,and whether or not I stay for one to three days,I`m gonna` be one broke dude!!  |

Hear you, it was a bit expensive for me as well. Need to save up for it now for 05 (Amtrak, hotel, tickets, eating, etc.).
Heard that Gary was setting up a site and glad it is finally launched. Very informative and well designed. Always wish him the best. He's a great guy.
And I highly recommend his Perfect Posing vids. Super reference and I have used them in my coaching. Gary is the guru!

Holy crappola!!! That is ridiculous! 70.00 NPC renewal, 95.00 entry fee? And all the other expenses. Oh God. What a letdown. I wanted to do the Masters this year but who the hell can afford all that? Shoot, food and supps during 4-5 plus months of dieting, tanning membership, gym fees, new suits, hair, then hotel, airfare.....Tim, wanna share a room? LOL. Seriously.

Seriously,the last time I did the show in 2001,it costs 55 dollars for the entry fee,if I remember correctly,and 55 dollars to join the NPC.
I bought a T-shirt as a rememberance/souvenier, and it cost me 25 bucks......they could have at least given them to the competitors IMO,after all the expenses.
Also,I slept in a crappy room at the YMCA,full of drunks wandering the halls in 2000,got accused of stealing a person`s wallet,got approahched by a gay bus station attendant who almost lost his life at the bus station, ;D
and then came home with a little black trophy!! :Happy Spinner:
In 2001,I got stuck in the Atlanta Ga. airport for 11 hours which caused me to miss the weigh-in,slept in a room over a strip joint,left my pouch with $400.00 in the mens room for 30 minutes but luckily got it back,was approached by another gay man who almost lost his life, ;D got yelled and swore at about being late by a judge and high ranking IFBB/NPC official,and came home with a little black trophy!! :Happy Spinner:
Thank God,Gary Udit is a great guy, and let me weigh in anyway,and still allowed me to compete.
Gary is a class act..no doubt about it!!

Peggy and Tim, maybe we all can get a room at the Sheraton and split expense three ways. I'll bring my air mattress to sleep on! LOL ;D
I always get ticked at how much the athletes have to spend to compete in a show and it gets worse every year.
A pal here got his NPC card last month so he could do Eastern USA here. he spent $60 and now has to pay $70 for an 05 card.
But agreed about Gary. A class act in every way, and one of the really good guys in the sport.

Yeah Gerry,after I got yelled at and swore at by the judge,Gary told me to just meet him in the morning and he`d weigh me in.......said not to worry about it, as it was an uncontrollable situation, and since he knew me from the previous year all was OK.
Then the judge was pissed at Gary too...................I don`t think he gave a sh*t!! ;D

Tim, maybe you and passionatebb could get in some last minute cardio LOL  I would offer you a room at my place buts its too small, not mention, with you being so irresistable, I don't think I would want you around my wife!!! LOL However let me know when and where you'll be staying, maybe we can arrange for you guys to stay at a differant hotel, and maybe arrange for some transportation too. |
