What are you going to do to improve your physique in 2005? I want to focus on several things 1) Increase protein intake. I currently get 200g a day but I want to increase that considerably to 1.5g per pound so it will be 420g a day for me. 2) More work for calves, mine need bringing up by an inch or two 3) Hit a 600 dl for a triple by June 4) After the strongman comp in July I want to bring my bf down in preparation for finally getting my ass on stage. How about everyone else? Any plans?

Chris, i like your first resolution... i also want to be more focused on my protein intake. I usually take about 240g and i would like to be in the range of 280 to 320. But i guess it will translate in more grocery expense $$ (is that normal that i pay 180$ in grocery every week? Supp. non include! I love bodybuilding ;D ) My second resolution will be...huuum... i got it: Stay calm and peacefull when people dont put the weight back in their proper position on the rack I got to realize that it wont help if i stressed with that... first resolution: win chuck's contest ;D
second resolution: get so embarassingly lean and hot that everyone that i know feels guilty and starts working out and asking me for diet advice
goals for the coming year: 175lbs (or more) at sub 10% BF 365lb deadlift 315lb squat 225lb bench
i'd take any of those weights as either a double, triple, or more...i don't want any of those to be my one rep max...
third resolution: need to wear size 30 pants, but can't even put them on because of my giant tom platz quads ;D

1.-Place top 5 in my class at the Masters Nationals 2.-Be more dedicated in my training and eating than ever before. 3.-Acheive the best condition of my life at 50 years of age! 4.- Deadlift anything over 400. 5.-To be a complete psycho day in, and day out in the gym!

1. Be sexier than Tim. 2. Hit 190, if I haven't already- I have this thing about jumping on scales too often. Last year I wanted to hit 200, and I got to 195 with no trouble-still having abs- and took a week off and never got higher than 192. Point being, I don't care if I'm 200, or 195 etc....I still like to keep my abs in view to some extent. No bulking up no matter what I look like for me. 3. Bench 300 for a single without anyones hands on the bar. I've already done 300, but someone had their hands on the bar, and said they didn't help, but there is only one way to prove they didn't help. 4. Squat 315 for 8 reps like I'm doing with 275 now. 5. Have better game than Tim......

How about everyone else? Any plans? Hey Chris, Tim, Gerry, Jesee, Troy, and MG ( MG are you a moderator on every bodybuilding board) and everbody else on the board. My plans are to get back into the groove of actually getting back into the gym. I did well for three months(July-Oct) that I joined this board and all of you were very helpful and provided your knowledge for a solid foundation in a good weightlifting program, but then things changed such as the election and a family members health came into the picture(MG can vouch for my interest/obsession in the Presidential election ;D). It's been a tough last month and a half for me, because after the initial joy of the election, I had to deal with a death of a family member. I'm still in the groove of consuming protein, I actually ordered cottage cheese as the side for a reuben sandwich, instead of fries . Sorry about airing out my difficulties and in closing I would like to wish a Happy and Prosperous New Year to all Take care.

Again thank you Tim and the team you assembled for you all providing a foundation for those who know nothing about the iron world, a welcoming and knowlegeable entrance.

Oh yeah,Tampa is a city in Fla. !! What a bunch of professionals we are tonight .;D Let the amateurs strut their stuff out on the streets on New Years Eve, it's their night ;D Seriously though, thank you again for the sympathies. After tomorrow's New Years Day meal of pork, kielbasi, sauerkraut, baked beans, succotash, and hard boiled eggs, time to get on with life, my mother would have it no other way. Damn, she knew how to start the year off right, full of protein. As for that city in Florida, called Tampa, I never knew that they ended it with the word, b!tch. ;D

Find a better balance with bodybuilding and other stuff in life. Pay more attention to how my body is responding to my training. And finally to get my ass in gear and join my local gym to push my training up a notch this year. (around 2 weeks now of not being focused with training/eating properly is getting too much!) Happy new year to all and i wish you all luck in achieving your targets
