I'm pretty set on going for light heavy, Masters over 50. Brandon, Tom, Derrel and Lance all seem to think I have the frame (small joints) with good sized muscle heads and loads of strength to go for it.
Lance in particular, after coming tight but way too skinny at Red River and losing to guys 6 inches shorter, is hitting the groceries big time.
Whats y'alls plans?

short term, i'm actually trying to drop fat
long term though, i want to be as big as possible...i'm 5'7", so i think that i'd fill out well as a light heavy someday...middleweight would be much too small, and heavyweight would be much too big i think...i'm going for a combination of the "classic" physique (proportion wise) with new school thickness (powerbuilder style)

I'm 5'10 and 212lbs. I'm dieting the entire month of January before starting a 6-month "bulk" program.
After that (around Julyish) I start dieting for my very first show, the Washington State in late October.
I'm hoping to at least be in the middle of the LHW class.(weight-wise) At 5'10 I'm gonna have to focus on nailing my conditioning though since there will likely be 5'6 & 5'7 guys pushing 200lbs in my class.
CM, when is your Masters competition?

CM, when is your Masters competition? Minimum is a year from March- NPC Oklahoma 06, then NPC Red River in October. I figger give myself a year to hit offseason max, then diet down starting Jan 1, 2006. All the while getting my poses nailed down by heart. Sounds like you are trying to avoid the situation Lance Ross was in at Red River. Shot for LH, overdieted, fell into MW at 5ft 11 and 162lbs and got clobbered by the 5ft 4 guys. He and his student are bulking now and are already getting the chubby cheeks look. I, being an endo/meso, cant do that without pulling the Lee Priest tub o lard. B

B I'm still afraid I'm going to look small compared to the shorter guys, but so long as I don't embarass myself with the physique I bring to the stage, I'll be happy. Good luck on your quest and Happy Birthday!!
