so let's run a little background real quick:
i got into the game in august 2003, weighing 157.5lbs, wanting to get leaner...blah blah blah, dieted sort of until april 2004, when i weighed in at 161.5 lbs, but at a lower bodyfat %...then i bulked from then until january 2nd, 2005, when i started my diet for this contest...
from august 2003-april 2004, i had pictures of guys in the kind of condition that i wanted to be in...i never drew much inspiration from contest shape guys, as they were beyond anything that i really wanted to get to, and they usually had "assistance" that i won't have...instead, i used pictures of old school bodybuilders who were neither bigger than i ever hoped to be, nor more ripped...they presented an attainable level of muscularity and conditioning...the accessibility of their look was what compelled me to continue...it is hard for me to look at dexter jackson's insane conditioning as a goal, because, realistically, i will never be able to get that ridiculously fat free...
(...likewise, during my bulk, i looked at a lot of pictures of off season bodybuilders, and powerlifters...)
so in any case, i am at the crux point in the diet...i have prepped my body for the dieting that will ensue by eating cleaner and on a more rigid schedule...however, now is the time that i have to finally convince myself to STOP aiming for more size, and instead be happy when the numbers on the scale go DOWN...it is hard to do that after a incubation periods' worth of bulking in which my only goal was GAINING weight...now is the time for caloric deficit; now is the time for cardio....
does anyone have any pictures that might help me through the rest of this (i already use tim's, but feel free to post them anyways)? maybe some natural competitors a few weeks out of show, or some fitness model type guys?
