George "Bulletproof" Farah Fractures His Skull (WARNING! GRAPHIC IMAGES - NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART) While training recently in Sacramento, CA, George was on the third set of tricep pushdowns when the upper cable support of the machine unexpectedly broke, sending 200+ pounds down square on the top on his head. Never to do things halfway, George ended up with a fractured skull and gash way too big for stitches that ultimately required eight surgical staples. Have no fear though; George is already back in the gym and gunning for the 2005 IFBB New York Pro Show.

Did he have his head UNDER the weight stack? That would constitute terrible form!!

When doing pulley tricep pushdowns the pulley wheel and structure that surports it is above your head. I guess thru metal fatigue the structure broke off but it still had the full force of the weight stack pulling it down. It hurts thinking about it. I'm checking my pulley system today.

Isn't he the same guy that got shot years ago? If so, he has bad luck.

Sorry to hear this. Met George several times last year (NOC, Masters Nats and Team U). Really personable and very nice. Wish him the best.

Isn't he the same guy that got shot years ago? If so, he has bad luck. Yes he was the guy that got shot. There was "fishy" circumstances around that (there were two shootings years apart I think) incident too. I've said it before- If your going to be a con man, at least be a GOOD con man. George doesn't seem to be a good con man. And he's filled with oil, and now staples due to whatever actually happened-wether a weightstack hit him or someone beat him over the head. He does nail his conditioning though!

Some of us heavier lifters often will add 45 pound plates to those machine using a pin to hold them in, i keep waiting for someone to get really messed up.
