I have a motto that I don't dog anyone that is bigger or looks better than I do and that only leaves Pelletier to rip on.

I would still rather see Pelletier on stage than Kenny Jones!! Jones is an outright clown. Even though Pelletier is overmatched, at least he is not mocking anyone and has a love of competing. Have to give him credit for that. And with Pelleitier in the show, the other guys know they will not finish last!

[quote author=GerryT Why give out pro cards at Masters Nationals if there are no viable competitions available to the older competitors?[/quote]
Maybe they need a Grand Master's O.
One thing's for certain, the average age of the open pro-card winners is going up, up, up...

Reading my mind, Tim! There are so many outstanding older competitors who should have the opportunity to compete within their age group. There are guys like Steve Burke, Lance, Rusty and others who have done well in open events. And that is great. But masters level competitors should have the chance to excel at their own level. Gets me furious every time I think about it. I agree with you Ger and Timski...hell I need something to compete in a few years as I won't be able to handle these young bucks..but it'd be nice to win a national level show with out murdering myself to do it!

I really won't comment on the rest of the thread as I personally think it's pointless to try and outline how we can fix the sport when the only ones with the power to do so won't. BB'ing has become modern chemical warfare since the 1980's and has expanded by leaps and bounds in every way. It will only get worse as new compounds are used and developed as well as supplements and training methods and the gentic pool increases. It's sad to see on the boards so many kids post their cycles and are on so much sh*te it'd make anyone's head spin Tons of Test GH multipe AAS Clen Slin IGF-1 etc etc etc and are about 200 lbs tops. I have been on the net a long time and have found people lie about weight measurements the amount of chicks they get but for some reason they are brutally honest about their gear use like they are proud and it is their badge of honor or sumthin. I get PM's all the time out lining people's cycles-which I never advise people on-but on more that many occassions my jaw has dropped into my lap from reading what they outline. There isn't much natural bb'ing out there either in the NPC as I have seen quite a few "cycles" from "Natural" figure girls competing in the team universe which included GH var etc..so as we know there are cheaters everywhere and it'd be nice to have a level playing field. I have to disagree I love tha freaks like Ronnie and Jay but can do with out all the chasers who have distended WIDE waists and are bumpy and lumpy all over.... A distended belly is one thing but some of these guys look like the entire lower torseo of their abs is a square....... I'd like to hear opinions on how this could be fixed even though we ain't gonna get no help from that people in charge.

Excellent post, G. Every year more competitors are turning 40 and 50, which makes masters competitions so interesting and also important.
Wish I had answers for your thought provoking points. Maybe competitors have to take a long hard look at themselves and say enough, this is not how I want to look. But as long as this is rewarded, it won't likely happen.

y'all should've seen Pelleitier do the hands over head abdominal. I thought he was going to drop dead of a heartattack on the stage
