I met Gaspari when he was in his prime in the early eighties. A guy I worked with was his sometime training partner. I came out of work and my friend Mike was waving me over to his car. In the passenger seat was Rich Gaspari. He was wearing shorts. His thighs looked like they were skinned dinosaur legs. Mike died a sudden tragic death. When I think of him I always remember the thrill he gave me when he introduced me to the number 2 bodybuilder in the world at the time.
