What`s everybody`s goals for the new year? I want to add overall mass to my physique .Especially my quads and back,in an effort to place in my class at the 2005 Master`s Nationals Over-50 middleweight class.I`ll turn 50 in June of 2005 and the contest is in July,so I`ve got some serious work to do ,but I`ve got time.

First off Good Luck Tim, you have plenty of time to accomplish what you want to do, stay focused and GET IT ON!
My Goals for 2004 are to add 10-12 pounds to my contest weight, my problem is that i am 6'1" so when i am on stage next to some 5'8" 210# guy they make me look like a dam stick figure. So the judges have told me to keep my conditioning and come in at 225 or higher, in order to be able to compete. So that is what i am trying to do, i have been training hard but my diet has been about 80%, i competed at the beggining of November and have taken some rest and recovery time. But as of the First of the year i am back at the diet 100%. I want to qualify for nationals this year that is my main goal that comes with putting on the size that i need.

As a relative newbie, my main goal is to get my legs up to the level of my upper body! I've made the classic mistake of neglecting legs, but no more. I could barely walk the day after my last legs workout, so my new routine is probably working ;D I can already see an improvement... my resolution is to NEVER miss a leg day in 2004.
As far as competing goes, I'd like to think I will someday - but not until I feel confident enough to put on a decent showing.

Keep my weight steady at 190/200 while still losing fat and gaining muscle. I also plan to try and get rich

Let's see 2004......yikes.....it is 2004. I just looked at the clock on the computer. I've been reading the Tim's threads for the last hour and half....hmmmmm to much good stuff.
As a new guy I'd like to thank Tim for the great site and setting me straight on how to get in here. I screwed up and couldn't get in and Tim came to the rescue.
I'm an older guy 56 and I've been back at the iron game for the last 3 years. I can remember when I could look at a weight and have my body change, but not anymore. It's been a challenging and fun time getting the metabolism running again and very interesting to see muscle I thought long dead jump to the challenge.
2004 I plan on continueing to change my lean muscle to fat ratio in the right direction. I lost mucho pounds in the last couple of years and have my body fat down to 17%......this year I want to see a single digit. I haven't any great dreams like some of you to be a competitor, but I am working for the right proportions. I'd like to see another inch on my arms and an inch on the quad's, inch on the calves. Quad work is hard because of two knee operations and a hip operation a couple of years ago. Dave Draper gave me some sound advise on proper form and I can now squat (from 0 weight to 275 in a year) not bad for an ol' fart. Well, that's about it, probably a little to much info.
I'm prouder than a speckled pup sittin on a circus wagon to be here.

Well, I have been away from the game for 20 years and just started back about 8 or 10 weeks ago. When I quit back then, I weighed 185 and had about 9% BF. Now I still weigh the same, but guessing, BF is at about 16-18%. It sorta looks like my chest slid down 12". So, that's where I am. My goal for 2004 is to get that chest back up where it belongs and the BF to around 10%. Now that I have found a site/forum that isn't just 10 or 12 guys flaming each other all the time and having Tim and others who KNOW what they are doing, I feel real good about the future. Thanks in advance for all the help I know I will be asking for.
Great site Tim!
PS Whats the story on "Ski"?

Mike, My two cousins, who were twins, used to train with me,they always called me "Timski", then everybody else started to call me "Timski",then they got lazy, and shortened it to plain old Ski. ;D If you ever have any questions on diet or training,(hopefully no tough ones ;D), I`m sure that myself, or someone else here, should be able to help out. That`s what it`s all about ,sharing, and learning from each other`s experiences.I have no doubt that you`ll reach your goals.Keep pumping, and stay focused!!

Welp going into my 4th year of continuos training and have made alot of advances but the biggest hurdle is the diet so i'll say diet is my goal to take control over and get a better grip on.
Also my training needs to change i have injured my shoulder again 2nd time in a year so i need to make some changes on how i lift and go lighter and just generally find something that will keep me bulked but nothing thats harmful and i like lifting heavy so this may be tough.
I wish the best for you guys that compete your in great shape guys all the best.
