I'm a huge fan of mass monsters and Paco gets super ripped, but he will most definetly push the new rules to the limit of enforcement with this physique!!! I will go on record as saying I admire his dedication, but he has to trim that waist!!!!!!!!

Well, he got rid of that horrid gyno, as well as his four-headed shoulders, so he has made progress! Now, hopefully he'll come in condition like he did way back when in his last contests. I think he'll do well, maybe top 6. But remember, of the two contests he did in '99 (?), the first he was third (the NOC) and the second he was 7th (Toronto). So he lost a lot of that "wow factor" in the second contest. Now that the judges know him a bit more, I think the jury is still out on how he'll do.

Paco will definitely make it interesting. He and Heiko will represent the mass monsters. He could be in the top 10 if he can duplicate his prior NOC condition.
Have tickets for the show and looking forward to it. Mens and womens events should be competitive.

If Paco can come in dry and ripped with his stomach under control.he should do OK.........no clue as to where he could place.
Now Mustafa, in my opinion, should be placing much higher, and I think he will in due time..........the guy looks great.

Agree, Tim. Mustafa looks very sharp.
Looking at the competitor list on Mayhem, I suspect that Darrem will be the one to beat. Victor Martinez should be the biggest threat if he is on. Would like to see Chris Cook and Capriese Murray make good showings in their pro debuts.
Steve, I got the tickets now because this is a smaller venue than where past shows were held. From what I understand, they are almost sold out.

I`m with Eric on this one............I have been a big Darrem Charles fan since the 90`s.
Crisp muscularity, good proportions, great biceps peaks, and cross striations where no one else has them,(does anyone even have striations anymore),and one of the best posers out there, give him a distinct edge IMO,plus doing great in his previous 3-4 contests will help.
Victor is awesome ,but I seriously think he got a gift at his last outing.........too much new size, and the muscularity just couldn`t keep up with it.
I also think Ahmad Haider will be a force, since I have never seen him looking less than stellar, and it is his first contest this year,so he will be fresh!!

Darrem is one of the last guys around who still has fully striated quads AND triceps! And his intercostals can't be beat! His only real flaw in my opinion is that his back is not as crisp as the rest of his physique, and he rolls foward too much when hitting a back lat spread, making him look somewhat narrow in that shot.

I agree bro,and those are fairly minor flaws from an overall perspective.
Who nowadays has cross striated triceps with split biceps peaks like that?
I hope he kicks ass.........that`s how a bodybuilder should look IMO.

Darrem is incredible and should be the one to beat. I have never seen him miss a peak, and he is a tremednous poser with a physique that combines aesthetics with hardness, separation and detail.
Agree with Eric about the back lat, as I noticed that myself. But overall Darrem is outstanding.
Haidar is also a threat, so this will be a competitive show for sure.

I too agree w/ Eric (do I ever disagree with you Coach? ;D) Darrem is one of my favorite bodybuilders. He's amazing. I don't get caught up in that size game. Don't get me wrong, I think Ronnie and Jay are amazing, but IMHO guys like Darrem, Dugdale, Dex, Those guys just have such great SHAPE! Darrem was the second pro I ever saw pose. At the Ohio State Championships I saw Tony Freeman (there w/ VPX!!) first and then saw Darrem Charles put on a FREAKING SHOW! I was 2nd ROW! AMAZING! Off Season and he was still striated in the quads! His biceps split - OFF SEASON! (8 or 9 weeks out I think, but still). THe guy is amazing and he deserves his just due! I'm also interested to see Capriese though. That dude just looks so THICK!

Well, I'm glad most of us are in agreement. Charles has been making a steady rise, year by year, and maybe one day soon will even crack the top 6 at the big O. He has been able to win some of the smaller pro shows, but hasn't quite been able to reach the upper echelon in the show of shows. I am glad that he hasn't played the size game and lets himself grow slowly, but steadily larger, while keeping all of his cuts and that tight waist!
I was in the photographers pit at the Night of Champions last year and he really should have beat Melvin. Maybe he will get his redemtion this year.

Was there also, Eric. And I also thought Darrem should have won last year. Melvin has a great look to him and is a solid poser, but Darrem was harder and more defined. Would be great to see him win this one.
