Greeeeeat Tim! I'm so happy for you! You are a great person and you deserve all your succes!
Next step after having BodyFX and Tim in the Ironman ? ;D Why dont we try to have a WOTW member every month in the Ironman? I can see it in front page of the august issue: This month, learn all the secrets of Mo's sensationnal spagetti sauce receipt (hey, i dont have the pretention of being as qualified as Tim and Eric) ;D
Congrats again!

Thanks Chris............I do get a bit tired of hearing it because,in essence all I did was wake up and smell the coffin...........literally. While I could have wallowed in my depression and stayed in the bottle,I simply did what anyone with a brain would do.................self preservation. It wasn`t easy, and I do regret my past problems, but there is nothing I can do to change the past........ gotta` just keep trying to forge ahead in life. I do think about my boozing days on a daily basis, just so I don`t forget where I have been...............a place that was a living hell, and someplace I would never want to go back to again. Sometimes I get complacent so I have to take a walk down memory lane, just as a reminder. It makes me very grateful for who I am, and the things I have.......which isn`t much on both accounts, but I`ve done worse! Gave me Goosebumps reading that Tim my exact sentiments towards the addiction. When i got sober I NEW i had to replace what i had been doing for more postivie life saving things and lifting was one of my main decisions and i am going on 5 years sober and 5 years at the same gym. This is one of only a few proud accomplishment in my life so far today at the age of 43, it's pretty sad but it is a big deal i was one of the walking dead also and i was days if not hours from dying when i decided to try ONE MORE TIME to STOP. I'll be getting both issues of Ironman with Bodyfx's and your articles in them, proud of both of you guys good work.

Tim the first year was the toughest, everyone had always told me that so that was my goal at first just to get thru it, then as each year goes by i think about using less and less it's still their down in us but it becomes less and less of a thought. I still have a hard time dealing, just everyday things that normal folks have always dealt with in life seem to be really hard to figure, theres tons of fear that can be an enemy too, but thats part of the road of recovery, overcoming fear.
Can't wait to read the article .
Glad to see others here on the board like johnnyboy in recovery , i used to post on another board and was surprised at the guys who were in recovery too. Then theirs another board i post on and many of them use its a younger crowd and every few months someone will come on talking about a bro who's OD'd, or difficultys they are having and THINK maybe they have a problem i always try to help when someone asks, and sometimes even when they don't.

Mac,you`d be quite surprised at how many bodybuilders and fitness enthusiasts I`ve met who have had substance abuse problems............or maybe you wouldn`t!! It sure doesn`t discriminate. I always knew I had to quit, and I tried to over a zillion and one times, until finally it stuck...........I never say never again, though,as we NEVER know what might happen..............that`s why it`s a one day at a time type of thing. I no longer go to AA meetings..............I feel like drinking or getting high at times when I do. I use my training and competing to keep me motivated and sober........it`s worked so far,but I still read AA literature at times. I also never preach to alcoholics or addicts as I know for a fact that when I was active I never wanted to hear that sh*t,I just would let it go in one ear and out the other, and then get drunk or high later...............or tell the person to kiss my ass! LOL You have to really hit bottom in most cases to recover, but you have to want to recover in the first place. Keep on keeping on Mac!! :Rocker Dude:

I am SOOOOO proud of you Tim! You deserve all the accolades and more. A good sobriety, an excellent gathering of dudes and ladies here on WOTW all of whom we can call friends, and now national if not world recognition.
Very very very cool
So when do you get the high profile sponsors and move to Vegas?
