HEY GUYS !! .... just wanted to introduce myself to this awesome board looking forward to pass on all what i've learned and to learn from everyone here as well
a little bit about myself.....i'm a 26 yr. old all natural recreational bodybuilder from whitby(that's 10 min. east of toronto) canada. I started working out 7 yrs. ago through a cousin. Having taken krav maga martial arts for about a year,i thought i knew what i was doing...but during my 1st bench press attempt, i bench pressed the bar to my stomach :rollin (it seemed like good form at the time.. LOL
'Let me tell ya...during the 1st year ,i made EVERY newbie mistake possible...from working out 2 hrs. every day to following the magazine 'pro routines (it took a year to realize that the pro's conveniently;) forget to mention the "S" word !!!!! the turning point came in the 2nd year of working out when i realized i was becoming one of those guys you see in the gym year after year who never look any different. i then started researching
and learning about the GREAT importance of nutrition and proper training. i also learned how a natural bodybuilder has to train much differently from the 'pros BY USING HIS HEAD (e.x. not to train more than 2 days in a row(C.N.S. factor),importance of rest etc.
Once i really started to listen to my body since then i've come a long way from 135 7yrs. ago to 221 lbs. present day.
my goal this year is to max out at 237 1/2 by may since i gain about a pound a week.after that i'll cut down to about 210.
thanks:p
p.s. sorry for the long post. i wanted to make my 1st one worthwhile...i'll post some pics soon
