Thanks everyone...had a VERY depressing/frustrating night...I was SUPPOSED to be in NC 10 mins ago, but the weather is bad there and they closed the airport so after 3 hrs of sitting there waiting and 6 wks of waiting to see my man, they cancelled the flight until tomorrow at 7AM...so I'm still here in MA Have to leave at 4:30 AM tomorrow... So, thanks for brightening up my night Here are 2 pics from tonight...colored my hair and got spray tanned LOL

Hey all... Well I'm home from NC! I had a good time and went off the diet a little bit, but did manage to get in a workout at a Gold's down there. Getting caught up on work today and going food shopping...and of course back on track with my diet. My stomach is letting me know I was a bad girl while I was down there (damn country cooking LOL), but hell, it was my last cheat weekend until mid-May. Hitting the gym tonight....I'll start updating again tomorrow.

Thanks guys, I did have a nice trip... got in a good back workout down there...a couple of Cybex machines I've never seen before but enjoyed. No cardio though, but was back at it this AM. Silly me forgot to bring my camera to the party Saturday night, so I don't have any pics to post from it...but I ended up wearing the black dress with the open back. We stayed at the party for maybe 1.5 hrs then hit a country bar, packed with cowboys wearing cowboy hats and all...even had a mechanical bull LOL (felt like I was in a scene from Midnight Cowboy LOL) afterwards. It actually was a pretty cool place because one side was country, the other side was like your typical dance club. We shook our booties and had a good time!
Back in the gym last night...had a really good chest and tris workout. Lifts are going back up again, and I had a personal best on flat db presses! YAY! Diet was pretty good, didn't record though as I was really busy with work and unpacking, etc. (plus had to go food shopping last night). Upper body is starting to grow/come in Just need to concentrate on leaning out the lower half...
Although I'm still trying to find the exact date (it's usually the first weekend in May), I'm 90% sure I'll be 20 weeks out this Saturday...YIKES...let the countdown begin...I'll be TOTALLY 100% on with my diet starting Saturday then...NO MORE CHEATING since I need to lose about 30 lbs to compete where I want to. That includes XMas (although I may just need to slightly bend the rules for that one meal and do some extra cardio...I'm going back down to NC next Thurs-Sun and if you've never had Southern cooking, you don't know what you're missing! LOL). I'm still trying to find someone to work with...would love to be back with Bodyfx but finances are tight.....most likely in the near future though he and I will be working together again...he knows my body well.
I've been having INTENSE cravings today due to being completely stressed out and bored with my job. I'm about to start looking for something else, but haven't had much time to interview either. I wish money wasn't an issue with me (with the house and all) because my passion/dream job would be working back at Gold's or some place like that...oh well, maybe someday....LOL
Today: AM Cardio: 40 mins elliptical PM Training: Shoulders & Calves

UGH...Feel like hell today...woke up with a BAD migraine and head cold. I have A LOT on my mind/stress lately in my personal/work life, so I think that in addition to the traveling, change in weather, etc is taking it's toll on me. I'm taking some extra vitamin C and glutamine to help my immune system so hopefully that'll help.
As much as I SOOOO didn't want to get out of bed this AM, I managed to drag my ass to the gym for AM cardio...but I needed to take it a little easier than usual. My chest is pretty sore from my workout the other night and shoulders are starting to be too, but those are good signs LOL.
Supposed to train legs tonight, but we'll see how I feel later today...may have to stick to a little more cardio or back & bis.
AM Cardio: 30 mins on recumbent bike PM Cardio: 25 mins on recumbent bike
DIET: 7:00- Glutamine, BCAAs, & Lipo 6 (pre-cardio) 9:30- 1/2c oatmeal, 1.25 scoop whey, 1 tbsp flax seed meal, vitamin 1:30- Lg salad with 4oz chicken, 3oz yam, 4tbsp lite Italian dressing (14g fat) and vinegar 4:15- 1/2c oatmeal, 1.25 scoops whey, glutamine 7:30- 1.25 scoops whey, 1 tbsp natty PB 10:15- 4oz 93% lean ground beef, broccoli
Wanted to go to the gym tonight, but had to work and then had a LONG discussion with my parents. Probably for the better since I'm not feeling well. At least I did my cardio (edit, felt guilty so when I finished work at 9:15 I went and did a little cardio before they closed...was too tired to train)

I still feel stuffy and a little rundown, but better than yesterday.
I've been miserable with my job and very busy/stressed here, so that isn't helping things. It sucks when your heart just isn't in your work anymore and it's the last place on earth you want to be....then to have to work all day in the office then go home and make survey calls to parents in Brooklyn half the night and on weekends just pushes everything overboard...all of this in addition to finding the time to train twice a day (cardio then weights), cook, eat, food shopm, take care of the house, etc....it's enough to drive ya a little crazy! LOL. But, that's life!
AM Cardio: 35 mins elliptical PM Training: Legs/Glutes (trained at my other gym with more equip...GREAT workout)
DIET: 6:45- Glutamine, BCAAs, Lipo6 (pre-cardio) 9:30- 1/2c oatmeal, 1.5 scoops whey, 1 tbsp flax seed meal, vitamin 12:30- 4oz 93% lean ground turkey, broccoli, 1 scoop Yammits, Lipo6 3:30- 1.5 scoops whey protein, 3/4 scoop Yammits, glutamine, BCAAs, Muscle Nitrous (pre-workout) 6:45- 1 packet instant oatmeal, 1/3c oatmeal, 1.5 scoops whey protein, glutamine, BCAAs, creatine, vitamins C & E (post-workout) 9:30- 5 egg whites, 3oz 93% ground beef, broccoli, 1 tbsp natty PB
Edit: Well, I gave my notice this afternoon at work...felt good...Have been wanting to do it for a while now and the way the past few weeks have been going, I had finally had it! Now, on with the job search LOL!
Had a cool experience/compliment in the gym tonight...I went to my other gym, a World's to train legs/glutes since they have more equipment and needed a change of scenary. Well, some BIG ass guy came up to me and asked me if I was a powerlifter and/or if I competed and said that if I don't, then I should. LOL. Come to find out, he's the Springfield/MA Powerlifting Champ, so that made me feel pretty good. I told him about my plans to compete in the New Englands in May and that I'm still considering BBing over figure (I'm leaning towards BB...middleweight right now...will next in next 2 weeks). He offered to help me out, so I'm considering it and am going to meet up with him tomorrow night...Just wanted to share

There have been quite a few times over the last few weeks, and last year actually (it's been a rough one, can't wait for 2005, although I will say that I've grown and learned a lot this year from all I've been through), that I've wanted to say f**k it and just give up, BUT that's not who I am. I am NOT a quitter...maybe in the past I was, but this is another example of the changes I've made and the lessons I've learned through this lifestyle, in addition to the result of the support/encouragement of some wonderful friends I've made on Mayhem and here. So, THANK YOU to those people (Crys, Marcy, Bob, Chad, Bodyfx, Ski, Massive, 2 wide, Nida, Liftchic, Zgirl, NPChica, Ski, Mark Dugdale, Jeff, Jodi, Lilswole, Santiago, Natural guy, and others I know I'm forgetting). AM Cardio: 45 mins recumbent bike PM Training: Back & Calves DIET: 6:15- Glutamine, BCAAs, Lipo6 (pre-cardio) 9:30- 1/2c oatmeal, 1.5 scoops whey, 1 tbsp flax seed meal, coffee with cream and sweet n low (need to stop this b/c of the cream, wish I liked it black LOL), vitamin 12:45- 4oz 93% ground beef, green beans, 3/4 scoop Yammits 3:45- 5oz 93% ground beef, broccoli 5:20- Glutamine, BCAAs, Lipo6 (pre-workout) 7:30- 4 plain rice cakes w/1.5 tbsp sugar free preserves, 1.5 scoops whey, glutamine, creatine, BCAAs, Vitamins C & E 11:00- 5 egg whites, 1oz 93% ground turkey (needed to get rid of the last of this...all I had left), 2 low carb tortillas, 1 tbsp natty PB (wanted to eat a little earlier but got stuck out later XMas shopping/returning things, but I'll be up late tonight anyway) 1:00- 2 low carb tortillas (Told y'all I'd be up late...didn't go to bed until almost 4....damn tortillas and my willpower sucked...but Sat starts the 20 wk out dieting phase, time to get VERY serious, so wil consider that the last horrah ) I'll be officially 20 weeks out this weekend so the diet will kick into HIGH GEAR on Sat...absolutely NO MORE CHEATING and must get VERY strict if I want to lose 30 lbs by May 8. Hopefully, I'll be talking with that guy tonight at my gym to see if he can help me as I'd really like to work with someone since it's my first show. And, if I can find someone local, all the better...although I am talking with someone not too far away (about 4 hrs LOL) that might work out. It sucks in this neck of the woods to find someone experienced and trustworthy to help with contest prep...not much of a BBing/competitive scene around here...another reason why I'm considering a move sometime next year... EDIT: Took me almost 40 mins to get to the gym tonight (usually takes 10) due to a sh*tload of traffic...UGH...was I missed the powerlifter guy Hopefully, he'll be there this weekend or I'll run into him next week..

Hey,you thanked me twice!! ;D
Sara,I am always happy to offer any help I might be able to....to any serious trainee, especially one I consider a friend.
You seem to have really learned quite a lot of nutitional and training info since I first met you on Mayhem, but if there is ever anything you might be stuck with, and if I have a solution....don`t hesitate to ask!
If you move anywhere in the world,do yourself a favor and do not move to northern NY......this place blows!!
Keep pumping !!
