I had another phone conversation with Gerry on Sunday, and as always very informitve, and entertaining. I am glad Gerry has the confidence to help me, I tried to convince him I am a hard case. My wife already feels sorry for him due to the work he has cut out for him. ;D

Don't underestimate yourself, Bob. Challenging, maybe, but not hard case or hopeless. ;D
You will get it through practice.

Had the great pleasure of meeting Bob and his wife yesterday. Both are terrific people, and it was a good session.
Bob is progressing nicely and looks like he will be ready for October. We went through all the turns and mandatories, and now it is a matter of practice.
Really glad they came and hoping uit was helpful.

My time with Gerry was well spent, he suggested things I never even thought of, the sad part was we had to kind of rush off. Which I apolagize(sp) for. Thank you for having my wife and I at your place. Remember you have an open invatation to our house for some country relaxation. Our cheese cake sux here, and you can't get a deli sandwich 8 inches high, but you can get some good ole sausage gravy and biskets...lol Also I have the biggest cereal bowls at my house...lol

All is on track for me. Shelby changed some things up this week which will be challenging. I am happy with my results as of now. I just wish that darn lower ab and back fat will disappear.

What an awful week for training, I did not miss any cardio my eating is on track, but last week I only had time to train sunday and monday. I had extended layovers this week and the motels we stay at does not offer shuttle, and of course there are no gyms close by. I don't think I could afford a cab and a day pass at a local gym everytime I lay over. I will figure something out I can't afford to many set backs like this.

Sorry I could not call this weekend, Bob. Tim is right about the diet, and keep up the cardio and practice the posing as much as you can. Hang in there, brother.

Woohoo 5 weeks to go. It is do or die time. As things are going I feel like I will give who ever is on stage with me a run, as long as I lose that dreaded lower back fat. Mentally I am exhausted and frustrated. I try to keep my temperment in check so I am too much of a D**k towards family. I have a good support team here at home my wife does help me a lot. She is the only one who understands this stuff the rest of my family and friends just think it is nuts. I do have a long distance team member and friend who calls me weekly. Thank you Gerry for your thoughtfulness and help and your calls mean the world to me. My training and diet is still strong I have not wavered from any Shelby kicked up the intensity of both diet and cardio.

Almost there Bob!
These last 5 weeks are going to be extremely difficult... but you can do it, and you will do it because the end result is whats truly important to you...YOU WANT IT BADLY!!! Go Bob Go!
Keep being patient with familly and friends... even though I know that they dont always understand!

Well a little less than 4 weeks and I can have a giant bowl of cereal. The kid's cereal is in cupboard now and I am sweet talking that box and whispering to the box telling it all the things it wants to hear bwhahahaha nah I am not that bad yet but close. All is coming along well with diet and training, I am still holding onto some lower back fat glutes and hams, but if I stay focused and up the intensity I am sure it will fade away, but for those who has competed it messes with your head when it seems to be at a stand still. Gerry sorry I missed your call last night but till I was done with everything it was late. oh yeah I finally got my posing routine down it is very basic, but I am a basic person and I think it fits me.

Bob,exchange the cereal for chicken or tuna! Stay focused and don`t let the mind games bug you.........we all go through it and all you can do is your best. Train hard!!

Thanks, Tim. You might know it but you are an insperation to me I enjoy following your routines i still think you are insane...lol, but it makes me push a little harder myself. Honestly when I get winded and feel like ending it early I think about the sessions you put in and continue on. As far as I know I will be at the Days inn for early res. I hope to see you on friday if you will be in on time. I wont be spending the night just coming down to get over with so I don't have to be in early on Sat.

Proud of you, Bob. And obviously, so is Shelby. he has posted about you on the other forums as well and receiving deservedly good comments.
No problem about the call. Wanted to ask you about the routine, and glad you have something in place. Call if you have any questions.
