Thanks girls!!!!! I am back at it today!!! I worked out with one of my best friends today at her gym.......it was ok. I am used the the HARD CORE BB type gym and this was more yuppie type. But I had a GREAT WO!!!!!
Back, bi's and cardio: 2nd week in my 10 week cycle: sumo deads: up 10lbs from last week...I will be adding weight every week....145x5x5x5 Db rows: 35x8x8x8 WG pull downs: 120x8x8x8----this 120 was much lighter than at my gym CG pull downs: 120x8x8x8
bi's; BB EZ curls: 55x8x8x6 hammer curls: 25x8x6x6
cardio 30 min treadmill!
I will not go back with her...I mainly went to show her some new exercises. I HAD TO CRACK UP LAUGHING......at my gym all the guys know me so I am "old news" to them after 12yrs and I am not used to gawkers so to speak.....but there were these guys staring at me in disbelief that I 1) was doing deads 2) off the floor..not rack and 3) they had never seen sumo deads before. I was laughing..thought it was funny... ;D ;D ;D ;D
Anyway, over all EXCELLENT WO and for my leg wo being stinky Fri night MANNNN are they SORE!!!!!! LOVE IT!!!

Karrie you always make me smile, I can just emagine, all 5'4' pounding away on that treadmill!!! Glad to see you were able to put it behind you and pump out an awesome back/bi work out.

Karrie, I normally workout in the evening at my gym, but will occasionally pop-in during the mid mornig for a WO on a day off! It's pretty funny to see the yuppie crowd stare! I was working DB Presses one day, and a woman on one of the bikes stared at me, with her mouth hanging open, for at LEAST 10 minutes straight!!!! I just couldn't help myself....I went and got a hand full of paper towels,,,,and put them under her bike. "She asked me why I did that?"...So I told her................."because your drooling all over the floor!" ;D Had to do it!!!! Keep pushing it girl! Your workouts are looking fantiastic! Go Karrie! I'm not big on yuppie gyms either Karrie-I prefer the REAL metal I bet those boys couldn't believe an attractive woman lifting heavy weights!!! LOL i get those stares even in my gym!

Keep up the energy!!!! Thanks Tiff!!!!! Although, right now, I AM REALLY SICK!!!! So, my training is TOTALLY off track.....the kids have colds and OF COURSE mommy gets one too!!!! I am heading to the doc tomorrow...I just need to make it through today!!!! MY LUNGS, AGAIN ARE HURTING...AHHHH!!!! So, I am ALREADY freakin' out about my wo's!!!!

I agree with you Karrie 100%. Cotton workout pants / shorts (and not the skin tight ones) for me. I can honestly say I have never seen a body in spandex and said, "Gee I wished I looked like that" - usually I have a sudden urge to run to the bathroom and empty my stomach contents. ;D

Cool..........comfy yet cozy!!!! My wife ALWAYS wears baggy sweatpants, t-shirt under a baggy sweat shirt or a hoody.....and Bright RED high top lifting shoes!!!! (she wears SHOX for cardio, but special RED shoes for powerlifting!)...oops I almost forgot...and a "dew" rag for her head too! She's already getting nervous about having to wear a singlet for competition!!!!

I do not wear spandex...I think that is like 1980's early 1990's. Cotton workout pants is what me and my girlfriends wear. I agree with you Karrie 100%. I don't wear spandex either just regular trackies and several layers of tshirts. It must be the bending over to do deads that gets the stares

right now, I AM REALLY SICK!!!! It concerns me that you get sick so often, I know you have a lot on your plate so it is easy to get run down. Have you added glutamine to your supplement intake? I know it was mentioned before but not sure if you did or not. I know when Troy started me on it it made a big difference on how often and how severe I got sick. Stopped taking it back in September when I stopped working out, got sick several times in a very short period of time, so I went back on it and have not been sick since

Ditto on Tiffs remarks-I think you may need some kind of immune support regime. although I am not a big fan of glutamine,I know if there is not enough in the body for its digestive/gut requirements it comes from the skeletal muscle and potentially weakens your immune system. I personally take echinacea and its like magic

I agree with you girls!! I do not generally take even a multi-vitamin. I need to though considering my lungs are "not good" per the good ole' doc. The pleurisy did not completely heal from Dec so they are inflamed again along with this cold on top of it. My doc is concerned b/c I just started with this cold on Sun night/Mon am and it has ALREADY moved to my chest. So I am off work tomorrow as well. Training...hopefully I can go back on Sun...maybe...we'll see.
