Hey everybody,I`m back and just wanted to thank you all for the well wishes in the thread that Massiv started...THANKS FROM THE HEART!!! #bowdown3ht#
I`m kinda` kicking myself for going into the Open Medium Class instead of doing both the Over-40 and Over-50 instead.
First off,I got 2nd. in the Over-50 Short Class, and would have definately placed 2nd. in the Over-40 Short Class as well, but I guess I forgot that I was old!! LOL #oldmansmiley9lq#
Great contest, and I had the option of going into the Over-40 before showtime, but instead stayed in the Medium Open where the comp was off the hook........can you say brain fart? ;D
The top 5 guys in the Medium Open were well over 200 pounds and had all placed or won on the National level in the NPC,MuscleMania,or NABBA.......when T.J. Shoenborn only gets third place, you know the class was stacked.
Eric Brugh grabbed the Overall Over-40 contest for the second year in a row and looked awesome doing so........congrats brother!! #highfive5wp#
He also grabbed a second place trophy in the Open show so he did great as expected.............huge and ripped is all I can say!!
All in all,a great contest with much stiffer competition than last year by a big big margin.
Dustin Vincent who posts here as DVINNY put on another great contest and if you ever decide to attend it or compete in it,you will not be disappointed.
On a personal note,I beleive I was definately in the best shape of my life at 51, and was hard as a rock with much improved legs, hams, and leg seperation.
Got a ton of compliments on how dry and hard I was which will only spur me on to better conditioning and improvements for next season.
Time to eat baby!!! #pizzasmiley4om#

Enjoy the food, Tim. You earned it, brother. And congrats on your 2nd place. That is usually a competitive show, and I'm proud of you. Being your personal best is like 1st place far as I'm concerned.
And great news about Eric. An overall win and an open 2nd is sensational! The forum was obviously well represented!!
CONGRATS!!

Congradulations brother. I knew you would do well. That is great. How does that pizza taste? I remember. Greatest thing on earth at that moment. Take some time and rest, you deserve it. Your post just really motivated to get moving. Mine will be coming up before I know it.
Again congradulations and sounds like you had a great time, which win or place, is the most important part of this.

Thanks guys,I am very happy with the outcome although I do regret not going into the Over-40,but I guess there`s no sense crying over spilled Pro-Tan huh? LOL ;D Eric looked awseome and his training partner and he competed for the overall Over-40 so he couldn`t lose either way as it still would have been kind of a victory in a way. Contest was much much better this year as far as the quality of the competitors goes so if this trend continues, and hopefully it will,I`ll be training extra hard as this contest just motivated me to another level of inspiration. I want that Over-50 national win,and I will not quit until I get it........in fact even if I get it,I will not quit competing............it keeps ya` young!!

Glad to see you made it back home ok. I looked for you after the show. You must have left early. I got called back on stage to pose down with 7 other guys for the Don Ross Most Muscular award and I won it!!! for the second year in a row. I beat all those monsters in your class to win it. I was the most stunned person in the auditorium. Now it is time for the off season. I feel great that I redeemed myself from the terrible showing 3 weeks ago. Time to get ready for next year. I will post some pictures when I get a chance.

I was totally surprised. You should have stayed. I would have driven you back. We ended up going to Eat n Park and ate half the place. We just kept ordering more and more food. Who the hell gets an $80.00 bill from a place like that? lol

Did they have any waffles on the menu? LOL Actually due to the screwed up bus situation,I had to get my room for another day which cost me another $65.00.........came home with far less cash than I planned on,but it was worth it. Lou Messina of East Coast Muscle was there too,and he may have some pics he can e-mail me.

He looked OK Gerry, but was literally melting onstage holding a ton of water. Personally,I think the winner ,Fred Smalls would have beaten him anyway, the guy was fantastic.

As soon as I saw his whole class backstage, I told my training partner he would get third. He was holding a ton of water. He came off stage after mandatories and looked like he just got out of the shower.
