Tonights my turn for carb up Really was pretty easy... spread it over about 45 minutes... went to sleep 30 minutes after that feeling pretty full... woke up 7 hours later not particularly hungry but ate as planned. And eating at the moment... lol

Sounds good. When I did CKD, my first carb up trashed me! Got light headed, and fell asleep at 4:00 pm and didn't wake up until (:00 pm with a terrible headache.
This should be much easier!
YUM!

Been a slow week for me. Felt pretty good on chest on Monday, but since it's a new wo, I kinda felt my way through it. Took yesterday off because my wife was under the weather, so we got half way to the gym, and she didn't feel well, and we turned around and went home. Just chilled. So I'll switch up my off day from Thursday this week. No Biggee. The test will be tonight with the new diet. Tonght is Leg Day. Higher Reps...so this will be interesting.
Also not sure if it's the diet, but my MD put me on a 2nd BP Med too, so I've been little lightheaded from time to time.
On the up-side....my weight was 165 today. That's a drop frm 171.

I hope you and your wife are feeling better soon! I'm finding the w/o a lot harder than I originally thought. Legs was absolutely brutal yesterday. The wheels were shaking when I finished.

Carb up last night....that is a lot of food! Feel ok today. This am weight after 30 mn cardio = 164 lbs. Leg day felt ok last night. Actually could have went much heavier, especially on squats, but I want to take this new work out slow and really get that mind-muscle connection for every rep, plus I want room to increase too.
Beck, I'm on 200 mg of Toperol and 100 mg of Zoloft.

Not to step on your doc's toes, but I sure as hell hope he's/she's not treating your blood pressure with Zoloft.

Bob, First...my PCP Doc's been a jerk for awhile now....been looking for a new one..his background is working with depression (duh!) He seems to think I'm too stressed, ergo the Zoloft? I used to be on Verapamil which seemd to work ok, but he felt it may be causing anemia, so changed me to 200 mg of Toperol. It doesn't seem to do the trick.
I took the Zoloft a few days and I feel like crap. No energy, no libido (very unusual for me), dizziness, nausea.
Got blood test results back and they said everything looked ok except blood sugar level was elevated to 110..said normal was 74 to 106?

Okay, now I'll step on his toes. Get off the frickin' Zoloft. He put you on it because he thinks you're stressed?! Maybe if you have a major post-traumatic stress disorder... Toprol will also cause you to be fatigued (characteristic for beta-blockers). There are better choices out there.

I know this is probative, but what better things should I be looking fro regarding BP?

Frank Ace inhibitors or angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBS). I'm not sure what's considered "first line" treatment anymore for B.P. since I don't usually initiate treatment, but I believe it's thiazide diurectics; I don't think I'd want to start with those, however (you'll be peeing all day).

Thanks Bob! I have a re-visit with the jerk, oops, I mean, my MD this Friday. Let's see how the BP is, and what he has to speculate on this time. I appreciate the input. Will keep in touch!

Tim, The OCB Pacific Northwest States in Oregon. Remember, I'm a West-Coaster so all my shows will be out this way. The following week I'm doing the ABA/INBA Mr. Millenium in Reno (with my wife competing for the first time in bodybuilding!) I have a couple planned for late July and then one in September in Phoenix. fit, I did the food timing re-feed once, but don't really agree with it; what I remember about the GI tract in medical school doesn't really fit with their theory. I do, however, do the carb re-feeds twice a week. No, I don't follow it exactly, but I like the concept behind it. Yes, not a whole lot different than the CKD diet; I think the folks at Beverly Nutrition started using this type of diet many years ago and have had great success with it. You can check out Beverly Nutritions web sit (and message board) for more info on it.what dont you agree wth?is it mixing cabs and fats? Bob
