Well...with Eggs...i believe it can be the main protein source of any diet. The eggs we eat usually come from the usual Chicken. But what about the other Birds? Turkey, Quil, ostrich, duck, or even Salmon or any fish eggs? Any oppinion about these exotic animal eggs? I for one used to eat Quil eggs. They are very small....basically a candy size egg when hard boiled. Salmon eggs i eat when i eat at a Sushi Bar. There is also the occasional Egg Beaters.....any of you use it? I heard there were Addictives in it.

I just eat good old regular chicken eggs,and lot of `em.
I don`t care for anything too exotic.

Like your saying says.."you're what you eat" ...i thought eating Ostrich eggs can help you become a better runner ....or tuna eggs become a better swimmer~ Chinese Philosophy.
But chicken eggs...there are the organic ones...and the White colored ones...what are your thoughts? and which do YOU eat...?

I eat white or brown eggs.
I can`t afford organic eggs they are way too expensive and I eat abot a dozen or more ac day lately.
I`d be copnstantly broke trying to pay for that many eggs. Right now I have well over 100 eggs in my fridge.

You should invite some bodybuilders over....for breakfast....go workout together and stuff. Man...it can be a Summer Camp for young bodybuilders or something. My frig has no room for so many eggs...but i'm surprised my mom is so supportive...i don't think she has a clue i'm building abs. I think she just thinks i'm going healthy...which i am. She bought about 80 eggs not so long ago...and now i'm down to 10 but how do you like your eggs? boiled, omelet, fritata, microwaved, or poached? I'm stuck with fritata and omelet...as i still don't know how to boil an egg correctly..plus it takes so long....and microwaved seems a little strange ..especially for cooking eggs.

I usually cook them over eassy or scrambled but lately I have been taking 6 raw eggs in a cup,beating them a little with a fork and drinking them 3 times daily.
Quick and easy once you get used to it.
I`m not having no camp,these eggs are mine.I`ll fight for my protein!! ;D

How do you make scramble eggs? hehe..i'm still new to the cooking scene...so..What is over Eassy? i hear my mom order that when we go out to eat at Denny's.

Max boiled eggs are simple...put the eggs in the water and once it starts boiling put the timer on for ten or elevenminutes and you are done. it makes them easier to peel if you pour cold water over then after and let them sit in the cold water. peel them under cold water running out of the faucet and you can peel them real fast cause the water makes them peel easier. soft boiled eggs are real good and you boil for 3 or 4 minutes. over easy is on a frying pan. Crack the eggs over it and cook till the yoke is a little cooked. you can flip it to further cook or just eat it "sunnyside up". poached eggs and over easy eggs I like to eat on top of whole wheat bread in a bowl with a litle milk to soften the bread if your diet can afford that. scrambled eggs..if you are including the yoke just crack the eggs into a bowl add a little milk and salt and peeper or seasoning and mix it up good and then cook in frying pan...spray pan with pam first...make sure you stir in the pan with plastic spatula often...believe it or not scrambled eggs are real good with ketchup mixed in with them after you cook them.

Max, you don`t need milk but you can add a small amount if you want to. It is not necessary though,it just makes them a little fluffier.

I just give them 200 whisks with the chopsticks to get them fluff....but do i just keep stiring while it is cooking to make it scramble?

Max, keep the heat low and stir constantly wit a plastic or wooden spoon to keep them from sticking to the pan which of course should be liberally sprayed with Pam cooking spray.
When they are no longer runny, but firm, they are done.

Tim,
Draper still eats raw eggs because you can slightly damage the protein if you cook them on medium high heat.
He eats strickly organic raw eggs.

People always ask about the high cholesterol in eggs when I tell them I eat anywhere from 10-18 per day at times,but eggs contain Lecithin, which is a natural fat emulsifier.
Dave is the man, and definately knows his stuff.
A huge early inspiration to me, as well as still being one today.I can relate to his battles with substance abuse .
Max an egg has approximately 6 grams of protein,and an egg white has 3 grams.

Was wondering if EGGS needed to be refrigerated. I find them easier to crack up and not break the yolk when separating it when it is at room temp.
Or is it dangerous to leave it in room temperature?

Max, it just depends on how long you planning on leaving them out unrefrigerated. 30-60 minutes should be cool. I wouldn't want to take the chance of going longer.

well they are not refrigerated when they come out of the chicken...but if you leave them for to long they might start to hatch ;D...for safety I would not leave them out long. you can always run them under warm water..look in the paper for a cheap used frig for the garage?
