All the best to you in your show man! Following this thread and the Getting Serious thread, I'm jacked! Nothing like that frenzied anticipation of hitting the stage and making your mark.
Cut 'em quick and deep Tim. Onward to victory!

Mon. Apr. 16th.
Quads & Calves:
Quads: Taking a tip from Karrie on these leg presses by doing one leg at a time, immediately followed by both legs.
Karrie,I hate you LOL..................these were a veritable bit*h to do as my breathing was like a runaway train and legs were pumping like crazy! Unilateral Leg Press/Leg Press Combo: 2-45 pounders and 1- 25 pounder a side 15/15 totalling 30 reps per set. 3-45 pounder and 1- 25 pounder a side 15/15 totalling 30 reps per set. 4-45 pounder and 1- 25 pounder a side 15/15 totalling 30 reps per set. 5-45 pounder and 1- 25 pounder a side 15/15 totalling 30 reps per set. 2-45 pounder and 1- 25 pounder a side 15/15 totalling 30 reps per set. Only rested long enough for my partner to do her set and change weights and it was tough!
Dumbell Lunges: 20-20 30-15 25-15 Did these one leg at a time with my lead foot on a platform............legs were like Jell-O already.
Leg Extensions: 50-20 70-20 70-20 Staying light with these as usual, and doing them strict and slow......feels much better than going heavy to me, and they don`t kill the old knees.
Adductor Machine: 130-20 110-25 90-25
Lying Leg Sled: 9pl.-20 (5 close stance,5 med.,5 wide,5 more close)
Calves: Leg Press Calf Raise: 4 x failure, pyramiding up in weight, plus half reps to failure on all sets.
Standing Calf Raise: 4 x failre-185,225,275,315,plus the usual half reps to failure followed by a static stretch inn the bottom position until unbearable pain sets in which doesn`t take too long at this point! ;D
My legs were toasted, and thanks Karrie those leg presses were insanely painful.

Karrie,I train my legs hard every week,I did go easy with far less volume last week as it was my last leg day before my show........in the past I wouldn`t have trained them at this time at all,but TODAY,my legs are more sore than they have been in quite a while!! Great workout,I tried to match the reps(15) both on the one leggeds and the normal presses. Also, thanks to higher reps on lunges,my glutes are killing me too. Great concept you thought of,and I may do this every week until the show as I feel it will harden and seperate my legs, especially if I keep the reps high. Thanks hun!!

Another thing you may want to try only for shoulders is this tri-set that Tony Freeman does on the Battle for the Olympia....my shoulders get HARD and PUMPED big time: Done standing-12 behind the neck bb press; 12 in front bb press and then 12 upright rows-that is one set.....then for the 2nd set switch it up-12 in front press/12 behind/12 up rights...then last set 12 up rights/12 in front and 12 behind! BRUTAL!!!!
Great wo's!!!!!!!

I`ll give it a shot though.......sounds intense and that`s the kind of stuff I like to do when training as I think it`s far superior to heavy weight low rep stuff from a muscle building point of view.......INTENSITY!
