When are you going to start your carbup-sodium depletion? Joel,I`ll drop sodium and foods that contain sodium on Wednesday afternoon/early evening. Water stays high until sometime Friday night. As far as a carbup goes,I`m taking a suggestion Eric Brugh made to me lasst year..........carbup on Thursday only and then on Saturday,just go with simple sugars. I do not like huge carbloads as I feel they mess up my overall tightness and tend to bloat me too much. Of course if I look too flat,I can still adjust by eating a bit more on Friday. All of this of course,depends on how I`m looking.

I understand completely. I think that I look better after a day of depletion. I'm with you though I'm kinda playing it by ear I don't want to flatten out but at the same time I don't want to spill.

What I do is try to spill over by Thursday night and then use Friday to clean up the mess. I take Wednesday and Thursday to do this. It is easier to over shoot the target and bring it back then to try and zero in on it from the beginning.

This is all very interesting. I also find that I look better a day after carb up. In other words, carb up on say WED night, by Th night I look better after dropping carbs back down.
So Tim. Why drop the water at all if you do not plan to carb up the night before or the day of the show?

Just to look harder and dryer Randy..........I typically do not hold on to too much water as a rule anyway.
Not really dropping it until Friday evening anyway and I do take in simple carbs before pre-judging....ie.,Peanut Butter Cups,honey,and possibly a few rice cakes,then I will drink a small amount of water.

About the carb up discussion...
Carbs and Water together wont cause any problem, since it's what will make you look full, the thing is just to make sure that your body is in a state of flushing water… and this is mainly caused by the Water and Sodium you are having the days before the show… which means do your homework 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 days out… and the day of the contest, make small adjustments...

Thanks Mo...........as always,I appreciate your advice and support. #bowdown3ht# Drinkink more and more water every day and starting to live in the bathroom..........it`s ridiculous! A couple more days of training and then a couple more before the contest.............getting excited!

Wed. Oct. 3rd.
Today I hit arms a bit along with a bit of delts,traps,lower back,and 22 minutes of cardio on the treadmill........nothing heavy just pumping up a bit............looking the best I`ve looked in a long time IMHO.
Cardio and abs tomorrow then I`m done!

Never thought of NOT hitting it right on.
Hitting it early and cleaning up sounds like a good way to go. Next contest, I'll give it a try.

Thanks guys...........definately in the best shape of my life.
Much improved back,both in thickness and width,leg seperation is better than ever........visible sartorious from knee to hip...........abs are deeply ethched with sharp intercostals and serratus,,,,,,,,,,calves look shredded,hams are just OK.........arms are bigger with much more peak to the biceps and better proportion to bicep/triceps......chest is ripped and lower pecs are carved.......delts are round and striated............I`m excited to see how it goes on Saturday.
Win,place,show,or even dead last,I will have done just about all I could do!
