After looking at the pics....I am SURPRISED at what I look like compared to last summer....BIG difference, but I am shooting for Sunday to post for posing reasons. Gonna take a few more shots!

I am REALLY excited, thanks to Frank and his wife I may have FINALLY found a power lifting coach!!!! We are contacting him this week. The meet went to on Sat just really got me excited to really get going on this! I could not really get in touch with the one guy in my area so I put it on hold.
Tonight back, shoulders and cardio!!

Well I am FINALLY hooked up with a trainer...ONLY took 6 mths. I start on the 30th of this month. I will be going to his gym quite frequently to train with him. Until then he has me working my abs 3-4 times a week and practicing squatting..as he feels it is going to be HARD for me to break a BB squat and transition into a powerlifting squat...since I have had a bb squat for 13years. BUT I can do it...no worries!!!!

YAY! Karrie! It is gonns be GREAT to have you at our gym! We are SO pumped about this!!!! Greg had Bernie train for awhile with very light weight, and working on getting her lifting technique and form perfect. Then, they slowly added weight. He did the same with her at first, concentrating on making sure you have a strong core. He is a REALLY good trainer, and knows ALL the tricks too! He really cares about the people he trains. Bernie and he talk almost every day, either be phone or e-mail. Try to empty your mind of all the BB things you've done, and allow him to re-form you into the powerlifting mentality. My wife loves it! And of course, it's always fun to tease between the powerlifters and bodybuilders in the gym! One word of caution: My gym is addictive ;D You will meet so many people and they are all really nice, and very helpful....just listen to Greg! Get ready girl!!!!

Frank, EMPTY MY MIND OF BB THINGS.....LOL!!! I have been practicing "sitting down" as Greg showed me...he is SOOOOO right the BB squat into Powerlifting squat is definitely gonna be hard...but it is feeling more natural to me and I think once I get my flat shoes that is going to make a REAL difference. I am THRILLED to begin!!!!

Trained Monday chest and shoulders. Also started "box" squatting and working abs more intensely! Right now looking for "flat" shoes, been looking at chuck taylor's and on the intense muscle forum some guys were talking about Nike Free(s) that they are having good success with.

Karrie Just make sure they are totally flat. No padded heals like running shoes, Shox, etc. Kinda like the old high top Keds sneakers. I use rock climbing shoes myself. Totally flat, but they have rubber grips on the heals and balls of the feet. Greg told me they would probably be illegal for competition though. Good luck shopping!

Our gym sponsors one in November, which is a sanctioned meet.
This is only June..... Perhaps, huh?
As long as Bernie heals up ok, she is gonna go to break the Deadlift record at 280 at this one!

Yesterday worked legs, abs and did cardio! Practicing the box squatting again! Getting excited about starting my training at the end of the month! #smileycool2ks#
