Intervals? Yes- that's what i had been doing most recently. 20 minutes of 2 fast 2 slow and the like? I prefer intervals on an elliptical but don't like the ellipticals at my current gym. The motion isn't as smooth.

I know what you mean, a bad piece of equipment makes for a bad workout for sure! I had good results last year alternating HIIT cardio with less intence days.
