Just by curiosity... why did you begin to workout? Today, i train for health and to compete in natural bodybuilding contests again (it will be my third years) but when i started... i just wanted to look like the guys on the box of Calvin Klein underwear ;D (This is a macho motivation i know, haha) What was your motivation? Get big? Strong? your wife forced you ? etc... Mo

I started going to the gym originally to control my weight, and b/c our employer gave us a free gym membership, but I switched over to more hardcore training when I saw my biceps starting to grow, and decided I wanted to achieve a muscular physique. I'll always have big legs anyway, they might as well be big and muscular instead of big and fat! And I think curving arms and delts on women look awesome.

Because all my friends that I hung out with joined a gym, and I was now spending nights alone by myself. I asked if they had a guest pass, and well, almost eight years later, I'm still working out. The friends? Ummm, not working out, except the occasional 12oz hammer curl- their biceps are so overtrained!!!!

It's classic "mirror syndrome" they only train the parts they can see in the mirror!! ;D There is another syndrome: "The show me your biceps" You must admit that you never heard "show me your triceps or your quads"!

real weights though? an older friend of mine that i used to ball with was always really lean and muscular, and i thought he was awesome...he kept his bench in our backyard, so i started using it...

When I was a young kid ,there were two pretty well known bodybuilders who lived in my town...when I saw them,I knew I had to try it. Been a long hard road but I wouldn`t trade it for anything!!

I was a fat 17 year old with a crush on a cute blonde I worked with. Lost the weight but dropped the ball with the girl (she turned out to be a bit*h). Got into powerlifting so I'd be too big to beat up, after a childhood full of ass whuppin's!

You know, when i asked the question about that first reason why we start to workout, i touth that many of us would have say: ass whuppin's (And maybe there is a bit of that in my minf when i first trained)
