Joel, i have hundreds of pics… but their resolution is so high, i have trouble uploding them… i should be able to fix that this week end… but i'm very happy, those are very good pictures (especially the Flintstones routine pictures)! 2 reasons Randy:
1- The weight in (la pesé) of the athletes is on friday night, and since i'm always very close to the maximum weight (194 lbs for the "195 lbs and under" category) i keep the carb up process at a slower pace before the weight in to be sure that i'll be able to register in the light heavy class
2- The thursday before the show, i usually wake up at 9h00 AM and go to bed at 10h00 PM... but with the athletes meeting, the weight in and all the preps on friday, i'm use to wake up at 8h00 AM and go back to bed at 11h30 PM... so i'm having 1 or 2 more meals on friday

Do you go by feel or do you have a plan, like I am going to eat X amount of carbs x my bodyweight for the next day?

Trial and error made me understand the big picture of the game plan i must fallow (approx x amount of carbs, sodium, water, etc)… but i always listen to how i look and how i feel for the fine tuning

You certainly know your body! There really is no substitute for going through the whole process of getting in shape and learning how you react to the different variables.

And dont you agree Joel that the worst part, is that we still have soooo much question about preps even after all those contest Thanks for the kind words Joel! Ok, 4 weeks out from the Toronto show…. So i'm back at posting more detail in the journal Monday!

I know what you mean Mo, I don't think I've ever did exactly the same thing twice getting ready for a show. You're always trying to achieve better conditioning.

The carbs were back last week… so here is some of last week's personnal best for 5 or 6 reps (cant wait till the next off season … but i'll miss my abs, so forget it, i can wait a bit longer for the off season to begin ) Tris / Two hands, over head dumbel extentions: 140 lbs Legs / Legs press: 18 x 45lbs Legs / Deadlifts: 8 x 45 lbs Bis / Dumbels curl: 80lbs Shoulders / Smith front bar press: 4 x 45lbs Shoulders / Side dumbels raise: 55 lbs Calves / Donkey: 4 x 45 lbs + 25 lbs

Thanks for your comments Hoopies! Shooted some footage for my DVD 2 days ago: On season workout (in the gym) without shirt on! I think this footage will be some of the best of the DVD since i looked by far my best i've ever looked (even vs contests days). I'll try to post screen shots! It was a strange feeling to be half naked in the gym while everyone was looking in my direction... asking themself what was going on with this bizarre guy
