Sometimes a "refeed" is good, as Dante calls it. After a few weeks of being strict with diet, your body will get used to even the most drastic carb cycling pattern you may use. So, I go out and slam a pizza or that mac and cheese you might be craving. Do I overdo it? Most of the time yes! But it's not necessary. If anything, it won't ruin your diet, as if you've been busting your ass doing low-carb days (regular or just part of your cycling), it will refill you. And give you that mental edge as well. You might be beat, and that pizza or cheat food might get you going again. And then hop back to your diet for the next 2-3 weeks and have at it again.
Good workouts Rubi!!!

You dont need to tell me YB... I cheated every week up to two weeks out last season. Every Sunday was Pizza, Fries, Ice cream, pocorn, and whatever other random things I could slam down. Even contest day was a "S" load. Wendy's. MIcky D's, Chocolate chip cheese cake... ;D

Hell yeah!!! I just had some pomegranate ice cream with chocolate chips in it. I've never had pomegranate before so I was leery. My first spoonful I was hesitant and then I dove in. That stuff is GOOD!!! Tonight, it's right back to my usual lower carb ways.

Haagan-Das makes it, it's called "Haagan-Das Reserve" and you'll only find it in pints. They also make an Amazon Valley Cocoa, Lehua Sweet Cream (this stuff is THE BOMB- and I never say that about anything!), Sesame Coconut, and the Brazilian Acai (pronounced Ah-sigh-ee) Berry. The last one is good, but I left it out on the counter for a half an hour and it was still rock hard-too hard to get a spoon into! We might have to reformulate that one. :-\
